Remember IW shouting “I. AM. A. REAL. WOMAN. LET THAT PENETRATE” at a room of bemused looking women on celebrity big brother? Classic.

Yep!

That male language always manages to sneak in somewhere - no matter how tight they have had their vocal folds strung so they can "talk like a lady".

Freud would have had a field day with them.

HootyMcBooby · 06/03/2024 09:58

I encourage anyone given a warning for calling a man what they are, use "they" instead of capitulating to the compelled speech tactics.
It's ridiculous and clumsy and against every English grammatical law, but it's still preferable to actually being forced to utter untruths.

I see Boy George is supporting India on Twitter.

Willoughby talks about sharing a 'cosmic connection' with George.

I still find it very surprising that a man convicted of false imprisonment, and violent assault is somehow still getting work in the media.

I find all of the GC stuff and TERF etc quite difficult to understand. My understanding of GC is that you are happy to accept those who have had the full surgery as the changed gender - is this correct? Has IW has the whole change? Is JK GC? It feels like her views may be stronger?

For what its worth, i fully back JK and find this whole ideology extremely concerning - especially living in Scotland where the snp, labour and greens seem to be full supporters of males taking over female only spaces.

SinnerBoy · 06/03/2024 10:49

I'd forgotten what a silly man Eamon Holmes is, he really is the dim controversialist's dim controversialist.

The GC position is that sex is real and that gender in all its forms are made up stereotypes that people shouldn't be bound to just because of their sex.

The critical part is that we are critical of the role gender plays in society.

Nobody can change their sex.

Emotionalsupportviper · 06/03/2024 10:55

As I understand it (and as it means to me) being Gender Critical means that you can accept that people can change their "gender" (whatever the heck that might be), and can wear hat they like, and have their hair however they wish, including wearing clothes, make-up etc, & having hairstyles more commonly associated with the opposite sex.

However as someone Gender Critical I would NEVER accept that anyone has changed sex - and this applies no matter what hormones they have ingested, or what surgery they have undergone - every cell in their body remains the sex they were born, and so do they. As such, trans-identifying males (eg) should never enter female areas, be eligible for awards and grants etc set aside for women, be accepted in women's sports, be housed in the female estate in prison etc and nor can they be lesbians, because they remain men.

All changes are cosmetic only and do not affect the SEX of the individual.

Similarly trans-identifying women remain female. They would also not be admitted to male areas, but would be welcomed into female ones.

No-one is in the wrong body; no-one changes sex; there is no "gendered" soul.

The cynic in me thinks the goading is intentional. The aim is to provoke reactions that will get headlines in an attempt to revive indias flagging media career via a sad face interview with Lorraine Kelly or similar

I know india has tweeted some awful things, but best not to give them the reaction they crave

Rightsraptor · 06/03/2024 11:03

I'm not sure I'd boast of having a cosmic connection with Boy George.

I stumbled upon a TW (Brit) on You Tube last night. I'd never seen this person before. When sitting down and keeping still, he could pass as a woman. But the generous and on-display cleavage gave the game away, as did the very male ranting (about Jenny Wilson and her L Community), which I suspect passed for a rational argument in the TW's mind.

They do give their game away by their male traits. They can't help it, poor dears.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 06/03/2024 11:05

I wonder if Boy George, awful as he is, feels he has a "cosmic connection" with Willoughby?

This is what I do. I will not refer to people using wrong sex pronouns but in order not to get banned I have to resort to using "they" quotation marks and all as a protest.

They do have a common connection in kidnap fantasies I guess?

You are a slow learner, Winston."
"How can I help it? How can I help but see what is in front of my eyes? Two and two are four."
"Sometimes, Winston. Sometimes they are five. Sometimes they are three. Sometimes they are all of them at once. You must try harder. It is not easy to become sane.

Freedom is the freedom to say that two plus two make four.

During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.

Political chaos is connected with the decay of language... one can probably bring about some improvement by starting at the verbal end.

Mintytea11 · 06/03/2024 11:43

Imagine having to act a “role” though every day. Must be exhausting! Saying they are every bit a woman as Jkr 😂😂. If they were both left on an island with only the basics , no hormones, make up or dresses which one would look like a man? IW really doesn’t pass I’ve seen them in real life briefly and the sex is very apparent. IW hates what IW cannot be. I do feel a bit sorry for them tbh.

Quite. For all that Windy’s TwiX bio says that Windy is a news-reader, Windy doesn’t seem to do much news-reading. Or indeed much of anything except ranting on t’interwebs.

pickledandpuzzled · 06/03/2024 12:00

The tweet about being at the centre of it reads very egotistically, but I think they mean they can see it more clearly because they are directly involved.

They are clearly very envious of JKR- she’s the complete package others aspire to be. Obviously that’s a particularly tricky aspiration for India!

It is extraordinary what some people get away with, contrasted with high standards expected of others.

Lion400 · 06/03/2024 12:01

Why is everyone spending so much time on Willoughby. Surely the best thing to do is ignore Willoughby. Willoughby is perfectly capable of showing up Willoughby’s self.

Agreed. There's nothing India hates more than being ignored.

A man is a man, no matter what surgery he has or hormones he takes. So no, no man will ever be a woman.

I mean, different women have different views.

Whatever surgery IW has had or not had is entirely irrelevant.

I guess they do! Well spotted.

I see I got my first deletion. I forget we can't correctly sex people on here, even when that's the story. It makes my brain hurt, but then that's the point isn't it?
