As I understand it (and as it means to me) being Gender Critical means that you can accept that people can change their "gender" (whatever the heck that might be), and can wear hat they like, and have their hair however they wish, including wearing clothes, make-up etc, & having hairstyles more commonly associated with the opposite sex.
However as someone Gender Critical I would NEVER accept that anyone has changed sex - and this applies no matter what hormones they have ingested, or what surgery they have undergone - every cell in their body remains the sex they were born, and so do they. As such, trans-identifying males (eg) should never enter female areas, be eligible for awards and grants etc set aside for women, be accepted in women's sports, be housed in the female estate in prison etc and nor can they be lesbians, because they remain men.
All changes are cosmetic only and do not affect the SEX of the individual.
Similarly trans-identifying women remain female. They would also not be admitted to male areas, but would be welcomed into female ones.
No-one is in the wrong body; no-one changes sex; there is no "gendered" soul.
