Yet the transwomen can get to drive others away from the women's pond and that's ok with you.

Them using the pond and others choosing to leave is not them driving anyone away.

Ohnohedident · 25/02/2024 16:38

your seem like you are quite a selfish person
do you think this might make it easier to accept the suffering of others?

Except it is driving people away, and it's been clearly explained how it is. You choose not to accept it. That's up to you.

men choosing to use womens spaces is driving women away, that seems unfair

The more this drivel discussion continues, the more sunlight is shone

Communes still exist under capitalism. And I've never been in one that was very comfortable.

I know communes still exist under capitalism, that’s why I suggested it. Some of the ones I have visited are lovely.
I suggest you look into life in East Germany under communism. Then decide what you like better.

This thread is not about me, but to respond to this. In my relationships with men, yes, probably very selfish. However I've always felt that it was my duty to help others, politically and professionally. Huge amounts of time on activism and volunteering, always worked I'm low paid jobs in education and health and social care. I just don't accept sharing spaces with trans women as constituting suffering.

Really? You have dominated it rather and made it about you.

The rest of us are talking about the safety and well-being of others. You have just told us what you want for you.

PP82 · 25/02/2024 16:46

You have to actively do something to drive others away. Not just be quietly minding your own business.

Is 'white flight' caused by immigrants driving white people away?

selfish with men - yet ardent defends of mens rights to abuse women

always worked low paid jobs - has comprehensive private health care

duty to help others - yet speands hours telling an oppressed group that they have no choice but to accept their oppression and are in fact BAD PEOPLE for fighting it

an activist for the oppressed - yet totally self centered

I've lived under so called communism actually, for a number of years.

It wasn't real communism obviously.

No, I'm talking about freedom for everyone, and protecting the rights of trans people, which is not a category I fall under.

Ohnohedident · 25/02/2024 16:49

are you now self defining the reality of an entire country?

Um, I have never defended men's rights to abuse women. Just the rights of trans women to swim in a pond (and use a loo.) That is not abuse.

Private healthcare is very cheap here. Certainly not the preserve of the rich, nor paid for with money I earned myself.

Sharing a pond is not oppression. And I'm the one with 'luxury beliefs?'

Because he doesn't fit 'the message.'

Inconvenient truths and all that.

we are getting dangerously close to TruTrans which is transphobic. Do you understand that PP?

If that's what it identified as then that's what it was, surely.

Not really. I could hazard a guess.

There are none so blind as those who will not see.

I don't believe that governments have the same right to respect as individuals do.
