You are erasing trans men from this equation.

I used male and female. Those are the sexes, that's what I'm speaking of.

If you want to blether on about something else, dad on, hen.

PP82 · 25/02/2024 14:53

You are erasing trans men from this equation.

Nope, because trans men are women so they can use the mixed pond or the female pond.
Just like trans women are men so they can use the male pond or the mixed pond.

Unlike Aunty Vera who can't use any of the ponds because any of them could contain a naked penis.

PP82 · 25/02/2024 14:53

You are erasing trans men from this equation.

So the solution could be
A pond for men
A pond for women
A pond for transfolk..aka mixed pond.

Impressive that PP82 has managed to fit in working on a maternity ward and in education with all the training involved.

Is the XX only pond nicer, is the mixed sex space colder, is the XY space smaller?

I am XX I identify as an adult human being, XX doesn't define me as a person which is what the current system does. I don't want to be excluded from any space because of my chromosomes. Why did I wait in a 15 minute line to use the bathroom last night just because I display features defined by some people as female, where as my husband who is XY and exhibits features defined as male by society waited 30 seconds? I would have been happy to use the space define as XY but bouncers stopped mixing to satisfy some woman (trust me plenty of use were saying we would use the XY space).

Religion has an ever shrinking space, in society it is a choice to practice it, but we can't restrict other people to have space for those who choose it.

'I don't want to be excluded from any space because of my chromosomes'

so heaven forbid you were convicted of a crime, and you could choose between the mens and the womans prison; it would make no difference to you where you were sent?

The vile slurs are not against me. The vile slurs are that trans women are sexual predators and that being trans is just a sexual fetish.

No one has said that. Males are sexual predators and transwomen are male. So tell us again how declaring yourself trans mitigates the risk of male behaviour? The evidence shows that it doesn't therefore they should be treated in the same way as other males.
Again nobody said it is a sexual fetish for all transwomen. Do you deny it is a sexual fetish for SOME transwomen?

Good Lord, where have you been?

Just last week, Debbie Hayton has been in the times, the telegraph, the daily mail, online, on the radio and on TV.

Telling everybody how he gets sexually aroused by wearing women's clothes. (He's the one who got his pupils to call him Miss and claims the size of a woman's breasts denote her status.)

He's telling the whole world about transwomen like him who have autogynephilia.

That's a sexual fetish.

it's hardly a secret.

I would go and wash your mouth out with that whole load of transphobia though, talk about denying their existence.

Lol. I've dipped in and out of a lot of things. Just about to embark on another new career for the next few years, but planning on another one after that too. Note that I was only in maternity for two years. I've worked in education in lots of capacities on and off for over 20 years.

Males are sexual predators?

Males are sexual predators?

See? Disingenuous bollocks.

98% of the time it's males.

That's why we do risk assessments. Being male is more of a risk than being female.

Datun · 25/02/2024 15:22

Oh, and in terms of autogynephilia, 100% of the time it's males

A cursory google of this Hayton person suggests that she should not be taken seriously. She appears confused and desperate for attention.

Why exactly should he not be taken seriously?

nothingcomestonothing · 25/02/2024 15:25

So now we've established that PP knows the square root of fuck all about sex, gender, equality, science, empathy, education, parenting, consistency and reading comprehension, shall we get back to discussing the swimming ponds?

I do actually believe that public perception and information on this issue has broadened and deepened since the last time the issue with the ponds were newsworthy. So I do feel more hopeful that equality might be restored. And if not I'd be very happy to chip in to a crowdfunder to get the matter to court.

Because he doesn't fit 'the message.'

Inconvenient truths and all that.

Datun · 25/02/2024 15:29

Thing is PP82, you clearly don't know what you're talking about. You have none of the facts, and even when you do, you don't believe them. And you appear to be acting out some kind of post teen issue, with an unhealthy attitude towards women in general.

But, you are posting all the incoherent bollocks that transactivists posit.

You are absolutely typical of a transactivist whether you call yourself or not.

Transactivism captures and captivates people like you, who are disgruntled and see this as a way to channel that.

Denying women their privacy, calling them names, and resolutely sticking your fingers in your ears.

It will never not be driven by misogyny.

Silly tho you sound, and ignorant as you undoubtedly are, it's very appealing to quite a lot of people.

Desperate for attention yes. Confused? Of course not.

Debbie Hayton has just written a book all about his AGP. Promoted in the papers. He's absolutely crystal clear that he's got a sexual fetish.

As is his wife who is also quoted.

You might as well go and tell all the transwidows that the thousands and thousands of posts they have put on here that yes I'm coming on the toilet their husbands are just being confused.

Likewise all the Children of Transitioners, who have just written to the NHS and posted the letter in public. Are they all confused that their dad has a sexual fetish?

Baldieheid · 25/02/2024 15:37

I'd like to take this conversation back to the swimming ponds. Fascinating as PP clearly considers herself, it's deeply tedious to have the conversation meeeee-railed like this.

Ponds.

There are 3. Males have access to all 3, just by uttering some magic words.

Men's pond - "I'm a bloke, this is MY space".

Mixed pond - "I'm quite happy sharing, hello Doris"

Women's pond - "tw are women, I GREW A CERVIX, reframe your trauma, you rights hoarding dinosaurs"

Females who aren't able or don't want to share with males - "does nobody give a shit about me?"

Ereshkigalangcleg · 25/02/2024 15:40

Yes that's a pretty good summary @Baldieheid

He (don't worry he is OK will male pronouns) was allowed to to formulate the policy for trans inclusion in schools.

How's that definition of sex as whoever identify as that sex holding up for you? Woman - is Debbie in or out? Or was in but now isn't.
See in pretty fluffy be kind world only small, gentle, kind men think they are women but out here the real world it's a bit different. Some trans women are 'confused', some are lying about be trans, some get a thrill from wearing women's undies but still think they are women. So @PP82 like you get to decide which laws we obey and which laws are 'silly' and can broken will you be at hand to decide which trans women are women and which ones are confused or attention seeking?

Some women (XX people) may be happy not to have segregated spaces for XX people but you cannot realistically make that decision for other XX people, who do not want to share spaces with XY people during some activities. I don't know if the XX pond is nicer than the XY or mixed pond but some XX people want it only to be used by XX people and the XY pond does not seem to be open to XX people even if they ID as XY, so I am happy for the XX pond to stay XX.

I'm not particularly disgruntled. On a personal level I'm very happy. I'm certainly concerned about the direction that the world is taking. The climate crisis, the continued rise of the populist right, the migrant crisis, Ukraine, Gaza.

I certainly think that trans people should be treated according to their gender identity, and that excluding or othering them is cruel. I don't feel the need to define or justify that, as I'm not actively campaigning about it, just chatting on the internet.

But what makes me really angry, even more so than that, is that while the world is burning, there are a whole group of people who think that the most important issue is who uses which loo or swims in which pond. The world is I'm crisis and that is where you are directing your energies??? Despite what you may think, I am not a fan of identity politics. I just argue with you lot because you relish in misgendering just to be cruel. Using the right pronouns is good manners. People's feelings do matter. But there are people every day drowning trying to reach Europe, and you are all obsessed with toilets and whether an NHS trust uses gender neutral language. I haven't thought these issues through much because they are so trivial! I'm just here because I find your psychology grimly fascinating and find exploring your world view interesting. I'm not captured by anything or anyone. I'm bemused is all, that in the current climate this is what you are all focusing on.

Baldieheid · 25/02/2024 15:51

Have you counted how many times you used "I'm" in that essay?
