I just want to thank all these women for speaking out for women despite the obstacles put in their place. It's getting easier for the rest of us now.

Riley Gaines, Martina Navratilova, Sharron Davies. Thank you for trying to stop it being pointless for my daughters to do sports.

Thank you all. I am so grateful.

Denise Caignon and the other women who set up 4thWaveNow, which describes itself as A community of people who question the medicalization of gender-atypical youth. US-based, which makes everything an uphill struggle for them. I learned a lot from reading their posts a few years back when I was new to this.

So many voices that have had their platforms taken and their voices strangled… still managing to speak rational, calm sense. Thank you.

braggingaboutbrasize · 27/01/2024 11:08

Yes, a massive thank you from me too

Schoolrunmumbun · 27/01/2024 11:10

Thank You Sisters

MrsOvertonsWindow · 27/01/2024 11:12

Another thank you. These women give us hope.

I don't think the gay community is happy with her. A Dublin gay bar has a "f**k you JK Rowing" sign up.

Theyarehere · 27/01/2024 11:16

A gay bar in London has a I❤️JKR flag up. 🤷‍♀️

Which one?

Is it an actual gay bar or a TERF one?

Schoolrunmumbun · 27/01/2024 11:27

There are TERF bars??

Edited

Please can you tell me the reason Rachel Reeves is in your list?

Theyarehere · 27/01/2024 11:28

It’s predominately a gay male bar.

StephanieSuperpowers · 27/01/2024 11:30

Schoolrunmumbun · 27/01/2024 11:27

There are TERF bars??

God I'd love that.

Thanks to the famous terfs speaking out, the ones who've become famous through speaking out, the ones who can only speak anonymously, the ones who write essays and the ones who give solidarity and cash.

donquixotedelamancha · 27/01/2024 11:34

Schoolrunmumbun · 27/01/2024 11:27

There are TERF bars??

Chocolate, caramel and peanuts. They used to be called Marathon.

TownGown · 27/01/2024 11:35

Schoolrunmumbun · 27/01/2024 11:27

There are TERF bars??

I saw someone on Twitter saying they were starting a "TERF bar" where only women were allowed in and one of the security was a convicted murderer who would ask questions about periods "only real women could answer" or something. It sounded very bizarre.

TownGown · 27/01/2024 11:36

@Theyarehere, frankly I don't believe you.

Well if there is a sign in bar in Dublin that's evidence enough for me that all the gays hate JKR- we all know they think with one hive mind linked to Cher.

Yep that sounds perfectly plausible.

A gay bar in London has a I❤️JKR flag up.

  • frankly I don't believe you.

A pub has a sign up liking a famous author? Inconceivable.

😂 Anyway back to saying thanks to all these awesome women who keep getting silenced.

JK Rowling keeps getting silenced despite having 14M followers and everything she says about the topic is relayed by the daily mail?

I think "silenced" needs to be clarified. One isn't silenced just because a lot of people disagree.
