I just want to thank all these women for speaking out for women despite the obstacles put in their place. It's getting easier for the rest of us now.

Kara Dansky in the US, Meghan Murphy in Canada, Holly Lawford-Smith in Australia, many whose names I can't recall in various European countries and elsewhere.

I also think of the earlier victims of this ideology whose names I did jot down somewhere, ordinary women who lost their jobs in the last five or six years or whose lives were made so difficult that they resigned.

Maria MacLaghlan (I hope I've spelled that right after getting Germaine Greer's name wrong upthread).

Dr Miriam Grossman, a psychiatrist who I don't know too much about, but she's been speaking and warning about this nonsense for years.

Also I often think about Selena Todd, who has spent most of her academic life writing about working - class women and feminism. I first heard her speak at a WPUK event, and she was brilliant.

At this point I really should say thank you to the many Mumsnet women, and Elaine Miller (who may or may not also be good at cross stitch) who wrote poems and let me steal them to raise money for For Woman Scotland and then went and bought them so that 👇 could happen!
