Just seen this .but sad to see it's still not over.

I'm delighted to have received notification from the CPS via Surrey Police that following my arrest in October 2022 and then again in April 2023, I will not be prosecuted for either malicious communications or harassment.

The CPS consider that the evidential test has not been met.

I am however still being sued for "misuse of private information" and I am very well aware that the complainant will inevitably exercise their right to review the CPS decision so I will say no more, at this stage.

Good news. The process really is the punishment for women isn't it?
I noted she commented further:

"I can't access either my friends or @MumsnetTowers but thank you so much for all your support.
Apart from Felix"
😂😂

DarkDayforMN · 24/10/2023 15:25

Good for her. I hope the useful-idiot cop experiences consequences.

Don’t suppose The Complainant (antagonist of the most rubbish John Grisham novel) is going to experience legal consequences for his behaviour this time? Karma will catch up with him one day, no doubt.

AutumnCrow · 24/10/2023 15:27

If the CPS decision is reviewed and upheld, then while bloody stressful for CF, won't it be a massive help to her regarding the civil action?

'Twice the CPS looked at the evidence and said there was no case to answer. Freedom of speech exists in this country. We are now entering the realms of harassment ...'

IcakethereforeIam · 24/10/2023 15:30

Funnily enough while reading the new 'lesbian nan' thread, it occurred to me we'd not heard from our copsplainer for ages. Then I thought he doesn't really show up except on....and now this!

Brilliant news for Caroline! Unfortunately, I agree she's wise to manage her expectations.

Redshoeblueshoe · 24/10/2023 15:33

Icake hush before he appears.

Pixiedust1234 · 24/10/2023 15:35

That is (mainly) good news. Hopefully having the CPS checking it twice will help Caroline in the other case.

fedupandstuck · 24/10/2023 15:35

The punishment is the process of course. Such a ridiculous thing to arrest anyone for and to drag out for so long. And of course, I have no faith that the police wouldn't do the same again if another complaint came in from the serial complainant.

DarkDayforMN · 24/10/2023 15:35

Don’t suppose The Complainant (antagonist of the most rubbish John Grisham novel)

it just occurred to me I would actually read this novel as a black comedy. I wonder if Glinner has considered novels as a side hustle?

AlphaTransWoman · 24/10/2023 15:45

This is the wrong way to resolve our disagreements. I worry about a future where we can't disagree about things without having each other arrested.

Dumbo12 · 24/10/2023 15:52

Women are arrested, or at the very least "visited" by police, for such "crimes" as placing ribbons, taking photographs of stickers, or saying thing's online which hurt people's feelings. Men post death threats etc, stand in the street and incite violence and it takes intervention from the Home Secretary, to get an arrest. A very long way from "getting people arrested" for disagreeing.

I thought one of the judges in one of his cases had pretty much said that he should stop.

It's pretty much vexatious litigation now (although IANAJ).

SerpentEndBench · 24/10/2023 16:27

I did lol most unkindly at apart from Felix, mwa haha. Thank you MrsO.

Brefugee · 24/10/2023 16:36

good news for Caroline.
Warning, people. The Name has been mentioned twice in this thread already. Like Beetlejuice a 3rd mention could go very very pear-shaped...

BoreOfWhabylon · 24/10/2023 18:38

I wonder if he got banhammered?

Boiledbeetle · 24/10/2023 18:42

Glad part of It's sorted. She did nothing to deserves the shit she's had from the police!

MmePoppySeedDefage · 24/10/2023 19:07

I am very pleased for Caroline. And some funny comments to cheer us up even more. Those who believe in claptrap never have any wit.

Froodwithatowel · 24/10/2023 19:13

There surely has to come a point where she gets to counter sue CPS and the police for their endless political enablement of harassment. They never have the evidence but damn do they work hard at punishing her every way they can, it's hardly impartial policing.

anyolddinosaur · 24/10/2023 20:10

I'm sure Caroline's lawyers will be advising her about the possibility of suing for wrongful arrest. https://www.dpp-law.com/services/actions-against-police/wrongful-arrest/

Of all the threads on MN, the Caroline Farrow related ones are the most inaccessible jigsaw puzzle (with good reason, I know) of all.
When I was a lurker I found getting my head around gender identity confusing enough. Then I would find something about Caroline Farrow and wouldn't be able to make head nor tail of it. I read the threads, hoping to understand one day.
My personal breakthrough came on a thread about 2 months (?) ago maybe, which ended up being deleted.
Thank you @Brefugee for helping me to slot in another puzzle piece. I still don't fully understand the picture that I'm looking at but I'm getting there, thanks in part to Rosanna Lockwood's interview techniques too (and the journey that took me on). Fingers crossed this thread stays up for any others like me who are still looking at a partially completed jigsaw.

Ah yes those wonderful heady summer days when - I think it was 3 or 4 threads were allowed to stand for about 10 days . . .

IcakethereforeIam · 25/10/2023 10:31

Good times.

Long enough for lots of people to have benefited from the sunlight hopefully 🤞☀️

Tallisker · 25/10/2023 11:40

They were amazing days

SinnerBoy · 25/10/2023 11:42

I'm gladdened to read this and wish Caroline all good fortune in seeing off the malignant goblin's misuse of private information nonsense. I hope he disappears in a puddle of his own self-pitying rancour.

DrLouiseJMoody · 25/10/2023 12:52

Afternoon All!

C's solicitor advised this would happen months ago but we had some reservations given the, uh, unusual levels of diligence and persistence exhibited by the complainant. I suspect, but don't obviously know, that there will be an appeal with much made of a fictional vulnerable status and fictional discrimination.

I wrote a witness statement for C which I'm told helped (as did a number of other people). I won't be publishing it (although it's mine to if I wish) because the complainant does not need another excuse to complain. I simply told the truth.

I do hope Felix who thinks the police are rigorous and fair is pleased with this result.

Love,

L x
