Started on 2nd October at Watford Employment Tribunal (Radius House, 51 Clarendon Rd, Watford WD17 1HP 01923 281750)

You may attend in person or remote viewing has been quite limited but you can request log in details from

Email [email protected]

Header should read

URGENT CURRENT CASE - Public Access Request - J Phoenix - The Open University - 3322700/2021

Ask for access link and pin and please give your name and address in the email as they check when you connect to the tribunal.

The clerk will ask you (in a private remote room) to put your camera on to verify, this involves looking at you, but no ID is needed. You may turn off your camera after this pointless and unnecessary process.

@Chrysanthemum5 HR depts across the public sector will be getting legal advice based on the outcome of this ET.

Most ET decisions are not put into the public domain because they don’t constitute case law. EATs are case law and so do become public. Big cases like this are included in the updates CIPD, XpertHR etc. issue to professionals signed up to their services. When we receive these we read the judgements and decide if we need to take action.

Chrysanthemum5 · 16/10/2023 14:22

Good to know @Sisterpita

RocketPanda · 16/10/2023 14:22

@PoshCoffee it didn't look good at the start with all the pronoun tango but I think she's having a live reaction to the ideology being under the spotlight. They can't walk away and call everyone bigots, they have to stand by their choice.

Chrysanthemum5 · 16/10/2023 14:23

So NS felt signing an open letter was a way to calm things down

Mmmnotsure · 16/10/2023 14:23

BC: your WS statement you were aware of 'uproar' about GCRN after launch. By signing and tweeting c open letter you would be adding to the uproad.

NS: Disagree. I wanted to support my t and nb colleagues cos of network

BC: Wanted to add to the noise

NS: No. T and nb colleagues were upset c way they heard about GCRN and what they thought it was trying to do and I was being supportive of them

Mmmnotsure · 16/10/2023 14:24

NS: I didn't know a huge amount c the topic before the network.

Sisterpita · 16/10/2023 14:24

Did you talk to GC people?

JoIsBraverThanIAm · 16/10/2023 14:24

How does Ben avoid just saying "liar, liar, pants on fire"?!

Mmmnotsure · 16/10/2023 14:25

Sisterpita · 16/10/2023 14:24

Did you talk to GC people?

NA: No. I didn't. Busy and not my field

Chrysanthemum5 · 16/10/2023 14:25

NS but I am trained to think and so informed my view by my own research

MrsDoylesCake · 16/10/2023 14:25

Busy - bingo

have we got not my area on the card?

RocketPanda · 16/10/2023 14:25

No where in history has anyone calmed down by being told to calm down.

Mmmnotsure · 16/10/2023 14:26

NS: I did a little bit of research.

[Could be the new motto of the OU]

NS: Letter was signed by senior academics and I trust their views so i signed as well

Theeyeballsinthesky · 16/10/2023 14:26

Lol trained ti do research - but only looked at one side of the issue 🤪

LarkLane · 16/10/2023 14:26

NS is coming up on my searches as a Trans Activist of mega proportions. I wont post her pic, as she posts with a pic of a child

AnnaMagnani · 16/10/2023 14:26

Just how many trans and NB colleagues do these people have given they all mention they are doing it in support of them?

In my whole career of 30 yrs I've had 2, both of whom were delightful and not into any of this drama.

CriticalCondition · 16/10/2023 14:26

NS - I always do my own research
....and then...
NS - I didn't listen to the podcast

Mmmnotsure · 16/10/2023 14:27

Said she trusted other people's views
now is saying I did some research and reached my own conclusions.

ickky · 16/10/2023 14:28

She also read some "information" incoherent rant about the podcast.

OP posts:
Mmmnotsure · 16/10/2023 14:29

BC: reads GCRN aims from website

BC: did I infer correctly from your answer re being unsure of real aims that you thought they weren't being truthful re their aims

NS: Can't remember. Reading it now it seems reasonable.

RocketPanda · 16/10/2023 14:29

Oh Ben just call her a bullshitter and be done with it.
