Rishi Sunak - "a man is a man, a woman is a woman"

..and how we shouldn't be bullied into believing somebody can be any sex that they want.

https://vm.tiktok.com/ZGJcxUehh/

AIBU to want to give him a round of applause?

I know, it's convenient timing and obviously a strategy move but how good is it to hear that straight from the horses mouth when the country has spent the past god knows how long bowing down to the loud and often disturbed minority.

I still can't stand the Tories and won't be voting for them but cheers for acknowledging the insanity, Rishi.

So stunning and brave, on the internet at midnight telling women our safety and dignity is unimportant when facing the sacred feelings of men. Such brave, so wow.

there’s just no point…

OvaHere · 06/10/2023 00:00

And no I’m not a fucking TERF, I’m not a radical feminist and I’m not a “gender critical feminist”.

Well that touched a nerve in somebody who has been throwing accusations of phobia and bigotry around like sweeties. You don't like it the other way around huh?

Have you decided to admit yet that all transwomen are male?

Helleofabore · 06/10/2023 00:01

From what I’ve observed the shutter downers are just a small, vocal and very repetitive minority of 1 to 10 posters. A lot of us would be thrilled to talk about all these other things. Some might also be open to hearing other views, whether or not they agree with them.

And I repeat, if you want conversations about other topics related to feminism, there is an entire board dedicated to it. You just told me to grow the fuck up, I suggest the same for you considering you are on the sex and gender discussion board complaining about discussions centring around sex and gender.

BlessedKali · 06/10/2023 00:03

why cant a 'transwoman' go to the doctor and ask for tests as to why they're not falling pregnant?

Billi80 · 06/10/2023 00:03

this Isn’t the sex and gender discussion board though ?

Holy fuck I just realised it’s been moved from AIBU to here. There goes and nuanced or balanced debate. I’ll leave you to it.

Crinklecutchips1 · 06/10/2023 00:05

"Where does your belief come from that the tories are inerently anti-woman? Is it just from the basic premise TORY = BAD? what other evidence do you have?"

Like I said all of these things that you are railing against have happened and continue to happen under a Tory watch.

My workplace has gender neutral toilets- no discussion - it just happened.

The girls' school that my daughter went to - she has now left - had to make space for a pre- op trans girl. This happened under Tory watch.

Children centres - mostly used by women - decimated under Tory watch.

I am sure that somebody cleverer than me can remember more. I'll leave you to it - I have work in the morning

Billi80 · 05/10/2023 23:54

FFS. Maybe she just went to make some tea before bravely standing up to a bunch of bullies. This actually reminds me of school. Grow the fuck up.

Nothing brave about gaslighting women with lies.

and do you think these situations would have been the same, better or worse under a labour goverment?

Ha! I’ve been called all kinds of names throughout this thread. I’ve also been on threads where I’ve been called a misogynist , a child sex mollester, a homophobe etc (simply for not hating trans people) so if you think im new or naive to being called “phobic” you are very very wrong.

But I do object to being told that I share the views of people on this thread about sex and gender, because one very reasonable poster and I came to one very specific healing point of consensus. It’s just nasty and divisive: some of you just want to spread poison and division. Others actually want to have a meaningful exchange that leads somewhere constructive.

How would we know? What I do know is what is happening under a Tory government

why can't a transwomen go to their doctor, and ask the doctor to investigate why they are unable to fall pregnant

I've asked you numerous times why we can't discuss this subject from a point of truth - that transwomen are male people?

I reject the notion you are interested in anything meaningful or constructive due to your unwillingness to talk about male people in female spaces in an honest way.

Mrspenguinsschoolforfreaks · 06/10/2023 00:11

I think the words “genuine question” mean something very different to you than to most people

Helleofabore · 06/10/2023 00:12

Tandora · 05/10/2023 23:58

Exactly and I’ve never met a trans person or a trans supporter who would deny this.

Have you not seen the male person who offers to show people their cervix because they are female?

You can keep denying that male and female are unambiguous sex categories all you like. It doesn’t change material reality.

Male people remain male for all of their life.

Can you please post peer reviewed studies that evidences that gender identity changes a male body to being not male? Or have I missed them?

And please don’t do what you did last time I asked you to post evidence. You posted whatever you could quickly grab from Google and plonked them done and disappeared and couldn’t discuss even one of them.

Start backing your claims with peer reviewed studies. Because you want laws and policies to be based on concepts that you support. You have declared to me previously that you are well read, so this should not be a hard thing for you to do to post peer reviewed evidence. If I missed them, kindly let me know around what page and I will go and read them.

it is a genuone question, I genuinely want to know what the poster thinks. What would the doctor say?

Agesifent · 06/10/2023 00:13

BlessedKali · 06/10/2023 00:07

Well for starters labour opened all the sure start children's centres that the Tories have decimated.

bringbacktheladiesloos · 06/10/2023 00:13

Sex is definitely not 'socially produced'.

Billi80 · 06/10/2023 00:03

Yes, it is. Maybe you can now grow the fuck up and stop complaining about women discussing sex and gender on the feminist sex and gender board.

Tandora · 06/10/2023 00:14

BlessedKali · 06/10/2023 00:10

why can't a transwomen go to their doctor, and ask the doctor to investigate why they are unable to fall pregnant

What on earth is the point of your question? A trans woman is free able to ask her doctor anything she wants. I doubt a trans woman would ask a question like this in the real world , because trans women can’t get pregnant , and I’ve never met a trans woman who was in any doubt of the reasons for this.

why am I being required to answer this question?

i don’t even know why I’m responding to you 😭😭😭
