Shame this once fascinating thread is now obsessing about toilets. Wonder why?

Personally I was wondering why we are now talking about which toilets exceptionally big, burly trans men should be using rather than focusing on women who need single sex spaces.

If only men could be more welcoming of members of their own sex with gender identities, and if only people with gender identities realised that there is actually no such thing as a toilet which matches any kind of gender identity, we could just go back to having penis owners use the toilets with the urinals on the walls and uterus owners use the toilets with sanitary bins and put this tedious debate behind us.

Funny how no one who asks this question can answer why trans people need to use spaces for members of the opposite sex.

That sounds like a beautiful utopia. It’s not the reality though, and most of the people on this thread would not welcome some of the trans men I’ve met with open arms. Their bigotry would shift onto him.

If they had respect for women they wouldn't invade their space knowing that as they walk in to do them in their own way, and have their preferred choice of all the spaces to live their best life in, some women are forced to walk out and have nothing at all.

I'm absolutely over the 'lovely trans friend' bit, I have no time or respect for anyone who thinks other women and their exclusion don't matter when it comes to enabling a man. If you seriously aren't aware that some women cannot share mixed sex spaces then I think the vile phrase is 'educate yourself', but how you've managed to stay this naive baffles me. Perhaps you have not 'hung out' with a particularly diverse group of women.

Do you know of any cases of trans women being attacked in men's toilets?

It's not impossible, as some men will pick on gender non conformity.

But I haven't noticed evidence that there are actually attacks on trans women in that situation.

Who is being forced out? Are they being escorted out? Harassed? Or are they choosing to leave despite not being bothered at all?

The truth is that there is nothing to be educated on. None of you have an actual reason why single sex, rather than gender, spaces would ever be necessary in a shopping centre or gym.

There are plenty of situations where sex is relevant.

There are literally no situations in which there is ever a need for a "single gender space" because gender is imaginary made up nonsense.
