Employment Tribunal starts next Monday, not sure if it is available for remote viewing.

I have sent a request so we will see.

Melissamelisante · 06/10/2023 12:52

This is awful viewing. I swish i could give her a big hug.

Melissamelisante · 06/10/2023 12:54

Gosh, I hope she can get some fresh air and do something that lifts her a bit. She's broken by this. Poor love!

I sincerely hope that we don't have any more tribunals taking place at Watford.

MyLadyDisdainlsYetLiving · 06/10/2023 12:55

Jo was being given a hug by someone as the session was ending, I'm very glad she has someone there.

ickky · 06/10/2023 12:55

It's like watching a shark attack. 😧

There have been little digs like that from the beginning.

This is what I meant about it not being a good look for the 'Open' university.

I feel so disappointed in them - despite an association going right back to their beginnings.

Chrysanthemum5 · 06/10/2023 13:03

I think Jo's partner has been there throughout and hopefully her presence makes it a bit easier for Jo. It's horrible to watch this but I feel I have to stay online In solidarity with Jo

LarkLane · 06/10/2023 13:06

I can't see there being a queue of women academics looking to work at the OU after this shit show.

IcakethereforeIam · 06/10/2023 13:14

I'm only reading this thread and I'm finding it harrowing. Flowers Jo.

LiesDoNotBecomeUs · 06/10/2023 13:20

Flowers Jo
You deserve so much better.

I was inspired to look at what you have been doing/writing (at Reading University?). It is very clear that you are not 'too weak to work' or in any way work-shy.

If another university can provide a suitable environment for your work so easily - why can't the OU?

Reading TT. JM is deliberately triggering Jo. It's such a low tactic.

Scampuss · 06/10/2023 13:57

I'm only following the commentary here and skimming the thread reader links (thank you!), but JFC this sounds utterly heartbreaking for Jo.

LipbalmOrKnickers · 06/10/2023 14:00

Back in.

Mmmnotsure · 06/10/2023 14:04

No sound though 🙄

BinturongsSmellOfPopcorn · 06/10/2023 14:04

Watford is hardly the middle of nowhere. The court is right next to the high street and a big shopping centre - they could go out and buy a massive sack of batteries, chargers, even complete new microphones, in less time than it's taken them to faff with the failing ones.

MyLadyDisdainlsYetLiving · 06/10/2023 14:05

the judge hit the mute button!

OvaHere · 06/10/2023 14:11

This all sounds like such as mess. Poor Jo. 🙁

ickky · 06/10/2023 14:11

JM being pedantic about a PTSD diagnosis.

I’m trying to keep up by checking on on this thread. My heart goes out to Jo. I hope she knows that’s we’re all here and are incredibly proud of her.

Puddlelane123 · 06/10/2023 14:22

I am still in the effing waiting room despite being logged in since 13.50. Has the clerk taken the afternoon off!!
