Why is it that anyone that disagrees with you and the many others on here are typecast as bigots and dismissed. Everyone is entitled to an opinion and to be heard. People are entitled to offend and to be offended. We live in a free country and will not be silenced.

I remember when Piers Morgan was the only mainstream TV critic of Johnson’s handling of the pandemic, and I had to unblock him on Twitter and agree with much of what he said. It was horrible, and I was glad when he reverted to type and I could block him again. But I didn’t disagree with what he said on Covid, just because it was him saying it. It’s the stopped watch thing, sometimes it tells the right time, but you wouldn’t want to rely on it to catch the right train.

Same with Megyn Kelly, although I knew much less about her before I saw this monologue a week or two ago - I think she makes a persuasive case here about pronouns, although it sounds as though most of her other opinions would clash with mine.

Megyn Kelley is anything but gender critical. She also isn't a feminist. No reason to discuss her on the feminism boards.

Agreeing with someone on one point, doesn’t mean you have to align with them on everything. Come on - this is basic stuff.

In any case, this has been an introduction to this women to me - and although I agree with what she says, post the Pride comment, she doesn’t sound like someone I would otherwise have any time for.

I am a left-leaning, liberal, socially progressive feminist, who has fundamental issues with, and concerns about, the profound misogyny and homophobia in trans activism.

I am no longer comfortable using ‘preferred pronouns’, but I did start off thinking it was the ‘kind’ and respectful thing to do.

I am pro gay rights and pro people being able to dress or act in feminine/masculine ways without discrimination.

I draw the line at many trans ideologies such as ‘education’ in schools, sports and not being able to say ‘I’m a woman’ if you are a woman, (person with ‘bit’) but you can if a man, apparently. Nope don’t agree.

I do not identify with most right wing politics.

I would not watch the video, as even though I’d never heard of her until now, if what posters are saying is true then I wouldn’t be comfortable giving her my time.

This aside don't forget even a stopped clock is right twice a day. Often people we would never in a million years think we have commonality with will have an occasional opinion we share. It's bound to happen from time to time.

I haven’t watched the video but the idea that the way someone spells their name tells you all you need to know about them is the kind of unpleasant petty snobbery that is driving people away from the left and leaving a gap wide open for the right to occupy.

I too can't bear the commercialisation of pride and am GC doesn't mean I want to agree with a right wing, homophobic, racist fascist. The woman is abhorrent.

I'd never heard of this woman before today, but if I'm worried about fascist tendencies it'll be from people who think it's acceptable to describe other human beings off as 'vermin' because they disagree with them.

Megyn Kelly may well have some abhorrent views, as I'm sure many people do, but that doesn't mean that some of what she says isn't correct.

I don't think there's many people who would believe in any kind of TRA rubbish if they truly drilled down into the base level because nothing about it stands up to any intelligent scrutiny. The TRAs rely on distraction to jerk the fallacy going.
