Can we also appreciate them when they show images of celebrities SHOWCASING or EXHIBITING their breasts when they're just out shopping or lying on a beach?
Let's be honest though, their intended audience is the uneducated, angry proletariat with an axe to grind.
Every publication has an intended consumer, and the DM's is unashamedly the average working man, generally working class with traditional values, a fear of progressive/diverse policies, and who is generally easily convinced that all UK problems involve immigration.
I see their intended consumer as malleable, easy to galvanise via contextless headline shockers, designed to achieve an angry/emotional response as opposed to a measured one.
The psychology is interesting if you have studied it. It isn't wholesome in the sense that it wants your kids to have an education, only that you will remain divided from the rest of the proletariat (especially those who do not conform to a very standardised, white, male centric etc) which education might actually reveal as ...problematic.
Worst of all - nationalism; unashamed and toxic. Any kind of nationalism multiplies in times of confusion and a reduction in social services (which, like poverty, is 'by design' and fully supported by the Murdoch class). The less educated one is, the more likely one can be nose-led towards nationalism, sexism and knee jerk judgement.
It's all so terribly icky, but that's just my opinion.
