Apologies if there’s a thread already but as someone at similar stage of pregnancy I’m struggling to articulate my thoughts on this one.

Let and let live vs feeling offended (not even sure that’s the word?!) as at similarly heavily pregnant stage

Not a man. Men can’t get pregnant, anyone over the age of four knows that.

Wow, a pregnant woman! How amaz... I mean, how normal. Pregnancy is certainly amazing in terms of the wonders of nature, but fairly commonplace in women I should have thought.

Living proof of what exactly? That this is a biological woman not a man.

Glad I'm not a midwife anymore. Every society on earth has deified motherhood for literally thousands of years ( ancient fertility symbols). We have been indoctrinated into believing that it's our whole reason for being ( dolls ).
AND now we cant even use the bloody word MOTHER Feck That!
Don't let anyone call you cis ie reduce you to your genitals; women are to complicated and fabulous for this. If someone is unhappy in their own body and wants to pretend to be someone else fine; live your life but don't force the rest of us to play along. By all means look and act like a women but stay out of our spaces.

If you want to be a man fine but don't have children. Talk about having your cake and eating it. I feel sorry for the child.

All it is living proof of is people are dillusional.

The only thing that bothers me about this is the accompanying rhetoric that men can get pregnant. And therefore get a say in what pregnant people (women) do with their bodies. No they cant, and no they dont.

The Miracle of Male Birth. Is that like the miracle of the loaves and fishes?

That is actually offensive.

Yes the ‘miracle’ angle does lead one to go what’s exactly miraculous about a female conceiving a baby after sex with a male - I mean beyond the fact that every conception is an everyday miracle? I suppose it does lead one to wonder whether testosterone does do the damage to the female reproductive system that some claim it does?

If that ‘Daddy’ was a male, now that WOULD be a miracle. I guess it drives home the fact that ‘gender’ is all about role play really. Maybe we’re doing the book an injustice and it will actually explain all this in kiddy-friendly terms?

I know some lovely 2 Mummy families where the lesbian couple have had a child and refer to both of themselves as Mummy. When the inevitable questions came they explained that one of them carried them but both of them ‘mothered’ them. I think that’s perfectly fine.

That book is a lie from cover to cover. 🙄

Sadly some people do believe it is possible to change sex, and they will believe this rubbish too.

Can I just say… I don’t think that this couple are disgusting or wrong or manipulative. I think they’re a young couple, steeped in a world that says sex doesn’t matter or that it doesn’t have any bearing on their lives - but they’re suddenly realising that ‘cock in fanny equals babby’ - and that poetry, mantras, chanting, has no bearing on the moments when a baby is screaming at you to do something to help them that you have no idea how to respond to and gives you that communal , general, familiar feeling of being a human being that doesn’t know how to deal with a tiny, human , fresh human being. Good luck. Don’t fucking deny your sex - it’s the whole reason why you’re in the news!

Please watch Megyn Kelly on YouTube she sums it all up so clearly. We were kind to the (L)GBT community then they went too far. Now violent men are pretending to be trans to do what they like. Being Gay doesn't get the attention it used to; so now everyone has to be Bi him/they whatever. Trans activists are bullying lesbian women! Read Prof. Stock's Book. she is kind and doesn't seek to suppress trans people. I doubt Riz Possnett has even read her book but still she wants to stop all debate.
