New British Cycling trans policy

The new British Cycling policy goes public at 11am tomorrow. Anyone dare to speculate on the outcome? Will it be a win for women?

Hopefully they'll tell people the outcome. British Rowing presumably has an outcome too..... but rather strangely, it's a secret.

I really don’t understand why any of this is difficult. Male body = men’s, female body = women’s. If you’re a transwoman get out there and sparkle in a men’s boat, prove you don’t have to conform to stereotypes to be fabulous!

Bet it's because they didn't get the 'be kind' result that they wanted.
I suspect most of those that voted wanted men kept out of women's rowing teams.

So many delays in every bloody decision or outcome, not just in sports.

Apparently TW have been invited to a meeting at 10.30am prior to the announcement. Does that mean good news for us? Let’s hope so

there's an obvious, morally right, factually evidenced answer that they know they will eventually have to come to.

But if they say it, then the people who benefit from the destroying of womens rights and women's sports and who will be constantly ringing and emailing and moaning and whining and threatening at them to try and get them to favour political ideology and misogyny over basic common sense and morality? Will throw ruddy great tantrums at them.

If they come out with a load of dick pandering then it's only kicking the can down the road while more photos are taken of huge male winners dominating podiums, destroying women's records and sports, and playing games with women's rights, and the public and athletes get steadily more angry.

NEW: British Cycling is to ban trans women athletes from competitive women’s races. The new policy rules that only those born female will be eligible. A new ‘open’ category will replace the current men’s category.
