https://www.outkick.com/cyclists-no-show-post-race-podium-after-biological-male-finishes-1st-in-female-race/

This was in a Colorado - Utah race a couple of days ago. Apologies if there's already a thread. I didn't see one.

Interestingly, this was in the race for cyclists aged 40-49. I wonder if older athletes are less likely to stand for this nonsense. Anyway, good for them. I hope this spreads to younger cyclists and other sports.

Cyclists No Show Post-Race Podium After Biological Male Finishes 1st In Female Race

Trans cyclist Lesley Mumford proudly posted an Instagram photo standing atop the first-place podium. But he was all alone.

Which is why I post here. I expose your dishonesty. You cannot withstand the sunlight of honest criticism.

So by all means carry on with your litany of lies. It’s all you’ve got. 🤡

"Sunlight"? "All you've got"?

You're copying standard phrases from this board. It's very odd.

Unfortunately for your 'side', the more this happens - the more that biological males trounce biological females in female sports - the harder it will become to deny the advantages that come with having a male body.

That is the "sunlight" and that's what we've got - the truth.

The litany of lies includes telling people that they can change sex and that males have no physical advantage over females.

The extent to which some people are out of touch with reality - living in a vacuum packaged bubble of make-believe, is really quite concerning.

Ok. So I went back to the threads and searched. Because, yes I might have a poor memory sometimes.

19/10/2022 20:40 in the thread

”Hospital refuses to operate after woman requests all-female care”

This is no different to patients specifying that they don’t want medical staff of a particular ethnicity or religion treating them.

Which is - incidentally - a regrettably common request in healthcare settings.

Can you explain to us how this is now referring to the request as being like racism?

and then later in the thread

Coyoacan posted an answer to another person that was about religion.

The patient can sue all she wants. There’s absolutely no obligation on hospitals to guarantee all female care

Coyoacan posted “Is this a fact? That sounds like a serious threat to the healthcare of women from some very strict religions.

landOf posted in response with the post quoted :
The threat to those women is their religions.

And that the issue with women with religious needs that require same sex care is that their issue is their religion? Not that the ‘threat’ to them being about a society that won’t accommodate their needs.

Then the ‘got what they wanted’ was rather more recent.

landOFconfusion · 03/04/2023 10:49

”Both sides got what they wanted from the confrontation. This is not an opinion - it is a simple fact. “

There’s literally another discussion going on in this forum in which KJK supporters are crowing about how grateful they are for the violent confrontation in Auckland. Why don’t you go and scowl at them - instead of the performative fake outrage that you’re directing at me. I’m not swayed by your crocodile tears.

In fact, searching for the ‘scum’ quote, I discovered that you have tried this tactic in the past. And when people have posted your words back, you never satisfactorily clarify.

Your came back last time was :

”I’m saying that this person reminds me of screeching scumbags I have observed on previously occasions”

About a woman complaining about Dylvan Mulvaney. You wrote:

She reminds me of all the scumbags who started screeching at Nike for making Colin Kaepernick the face of an advertisement after he kneeled instead of standing during the US national anthem

‘Petty troll’ is an apt description.

(How exactly is this quote above not effectively referring to the woman complaining about Mulvaney a scum bag? Maybe you could explain?)

So, Maybe you meant it all very differently. Or maybe you didn’t.

The issue is, in light of what I remembered and have now quoted back, your vile and misogynistic comparison of women protesting about saving female sports being like pro-life protestors is absolutely on par for your opinion expressed in the past.

You have the right to post those opinions and you do. Great. We have to right to point out a pattern of hateful opinions towards women you don’t agree with. If your posts don’t mean how they are being interpreted, maybe there is an issue with your style which seems based more on shaming and vilifying than contributing to anything, even deeper understanding, to the discussion

Misstache · 23/05/2023 13:13

Millions upon millions of women are pro life and have no problem banning reproductive services for other women. By your logic, those women should get to determine the rights for all other women since they don’t have a problem with abortion being banned. Even if we believe all these women genuinely support TW in sports and haven’t been silenced by fears of being called a bigot, having their workplace called and their family threatened, being removed from the sport, losing any sponsors, so what? Other girls and women like the girls who lost a trip to the California state meet do have a problem with it.

If you want to do sports with TW, nothing is stopping you from starting a Biology Doesn’t Matter race series. Go ahead and compete with TW or go ahead and have a fun series where there’s no placing and time. That’s your right, just as it’s the right of any woman to not get an abortion herself. But when we impose on the rights of other women, why should we listen to you? There’s women who believe women shouldn’t work, women who support rapists, women who believe and do all kinds of things that harm other women. It’s not new. But we as feminist women who care about women don’t have to take our lead from them. We care about the collective rights of women and girls whether it affects us personally or not.

My dishonesty? Me? Personally?

Let’s add that to stalker, and other personal insults you have dished out to me in the past year. Including extremist and pea-brained on this thread. I seem to remember it not being the first time you have try to insult my intelligence (which I personally don’t rate higher than average anyway so I do find that one funny). I believe you were deleted for one or two of those in the past though.

You stated :

The people holding the signs reading “protect female sports” are really no different to the people who go to anti-abortion protests holding “pro-life” banners.

In both cases the messages are examples of carefully constructed lies. They are crafted to conceal the true motivation behind the message.

your post here is a sleight of hand way to compare these women protesting to protect women’s and girl’s sports to ‘pro life’ protestors who are dishonestly protesting in your opinion.

You have not clarified what is dishonest about the message ‘protect female sports’ at all. I think at this stage the dishonesty is that you make false comparisons that constantly disparage women you disagree with and try to then portray yourself as being misunderstood.

I would ask you to explain and justify this, but I think we all know you aren't doing that.

I doubt you and I are not alone in questioning this directly and being ignored. Maybe we will get a detailed explanation, that would be great.

However, expect it was used as a clumsy attempt to portray the female athletes and campaigners for saving women’s sport in poor light, while slipping in a way to try to align them with far right conservatives

Maybe this time an explanation will be forthcoming. I look forward to it.

Helleofabore · 23/05/2023 13:46

As noone who actually was in the race protested or raised any concerns re the transwoman, do you think you have the right to speak on their behalf?

We're not protesting on their behalf. We're protesting on our own behalf and on behalf of all women.

Actually you will find that at a recent US cycle event the local gun club (NRA-types aren't known for their liberalism) turned out to abuse women fighting for fair competition.

Sorry you seem mistaken this was a trans woman. I understand the confusion the media is pretty bad at reporting. So yeah, a woman beat some women and they were little cry babies about being losers.

Sorry, you seem to have been confused by the article. It was a man, who is pretending to be a woman, who came first and was awarded the win.

A woman didn't "beat other women."

SinnerBoy · 24/05/2023 04:44

Surely I'm not the only one wondering why Landy signs their posts with clown faces? A tacit confession, perhaps?

Nope I double checked they're a trans woman. Don't feel bad for being mistaken. You don't have to be mad now. Trans women are women. Peace and love.

Transw are men, it's written in every single chromosome.

Aww come on sinner! Give them points for adhering to their beliefs when there is not one bit of science that provides evidence for that. It is wonderful to see such confidence in the wild still. Even Harper and the IOC have essentially given up on trying to prove this.

BinturongsSmellOfPopcorn · 22/05/2023 08:52

A clearer protest, but the wording of this article is a mess: a 'transgender female' who was 'incorrectly' referred to as a "trans-identified male'.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12109103/amp/California-high-school-athlete-gives-thumbs-4th-place-finish-trans-competitor-took-2nd.html?

Yes, that’s weird. The whole point is that he is a trans-identifying male. But still, we’ll done to the Daily Mail for covering this protest.

Only male people can be 'transwomen'. Adult males are men. Therefore 'transwomen' are men since people can't change sex.

By saying that 'transwomen' are women you are saying that men are women. Do you really believe that? Or do you believe that people can change sex?

Helleofabore · 24/05/2023 08:41

I think it is important that the wording is protect ‘female’ sport. It then cuts through the mantra and shows the mantra to be meaningless.

We want to protect female sport.

Males don’t get to compete in any guise. It doesn’t matter whether a male thinks they are a woman, they are not female therefore it is irrelevant. They are male. They compete with other male athletes or a designated mix sex event where they take a place reserved for other males.

Wonderful mantras don’t mean a thing in the real world.

Helleofabore · 24/05/2023 08:44

I would offer mumma a biscuit in response for their post. They offerred us peace and love after all. And we must be hospitable.

But biscuit emojis tend to be banned.

MN164 · 24/05/2023 08:51

Has anyone on this thread been in either of these situations:

(1) competed in a race as a women and lost to a transgender woman?
(2) competed in a race as a transgender woman and won against a woman?

I'd love the hear the views of either of the people defined above.

I'm sure everyone else has important things to contribute, but I won't be reading your response unless you truthfully say you are an example of (1) or (2) above. 😉

PS - Apologies if I haven't use exactly the right language above, but for clarity, by "woman" I mean female sex at birth and identifies as female and by "transgender woman" I mean male sex at birth and identifies as female (with or without medical intervention/assistance).
