Interviewer - So tell me Tall person, why did you leave your last job?

I do seriously want to feel sorry for this person as it was obviously a totally shit day at work and I can't imagine the feeling on getting home and the reality of the situation really sinking in. But I am struggling to justify why I feel any compassion for someone who had such an aggressive, entitled attitude.
With proper customer service training this could have been de-escalated pretty quickly. Maybe if Starbucks really are LGBTQ+ supporters they should include some misgendering role play in their training to help their staff deal with it in an appropriate and, most importantly, legal manner?
