It’s not clear what the customer said, it’s presumed she misgenders the employee as he calls her transphobic. He calls her Karen and then either grabs the phone or the person who’s filming.

Here’s another bonkers pcso. You’d have thought there was a higher threshold for getting hired by a police force, https://thelincolnite.co.uk/2021/07/ex-lincoln-police-worker-jailed-for-two-years-over-explosives-and-guns/

Oh, if we're playing insane transwomen hired by the British police, don't forget this classic. And if KiwiFarms weren't down I could share the horrifying video version as well.

Can I have a coffee to take out please. Americano, large, no sugar, caffeinated but no testosterone please.

I see them both as women. I don't know what the argument was about.

Do you think that an employee should talk to a customer like that? Do you think that an employee should assault someone who is filming them like that? In both cases a ‘please leave’ will do screaming in someone’s face is usually not needed.

Gosh, that’s a lot of self absorption in one TikTok video.

And I’m not wearing make up or earrings today, do I have to hand in my ovaries now?

@SidewaysOtter @EveryWitchWaybutLoose

And at the end, he points to his earrings and his eye make up, to show that he is not a man.

Well, I don't wear earrings or make up, so maybe I am not a woman, and didn't know it ...

They’re not pointing to the earrings and make up to show they’re a woman, they’re gesturing specifically to the earrings because they say “they/them” and the whole point of the TikTok is that they’d like to be referred to as they/them.

Haven’t watched the video yet, can imagine it’s as fucking rage inducing as I think. You might want to search on Twitter for Rupert Myers’ past just fyi.

He might well be a complete arse but that doesn’t excuse the Starbucks employee. Also, he isn’t the person who took the video or the person who posted it initially.

White women were absolutely and completely complicit in the oppression of black people in the United States @MissLucyEyelesbarrow and that oppression encompassed literal violence, incitement to literal violence and much, much more.

Completely agree. It's fine to get mad at white men using 'Karen' as a slur but it's bullshit to pretend Black women weren't oppressed (and still discriminated against) by white women.

Two women having a misunderstanding

You might want to check your facts. I believe our friend is IDing as NB, not female. Certainly from the evidence of the TikTok video of said recently sacked barista.

Additionally, I don't see two women having a misunderstanding. The female customer totally understands the laws of biology that she learnt in school and informs her life as a woman.

The other person...

FrostyFifi · 08/05/2023 21:36

I see them both as women

Of course you do.

White women were absolutely and completely complicit in the oppression of black people in the United States

I believe we were discussing contemporary statistics though.

You see them both as women. How presumptive. I believe the employee is nb.
Also, you might need an eye and hearing test.

Lets not bring race into this it was a white man abusing a white woman.

MamaNewtNewt · 08/05/2023 21:38

@hotdiggetydog and if the Starbucks employee stated that they were a man, would you suddenly see a man and a women?

DisquietintheRanks · 08/05/2023 21:38

@FrostyFifi no I don't think that's what was happening at all.

DarkDayforMN · 08/05/2023 21:40

I wonder what you have to do to your eyes or your brain to see two women in that video. There's nothing to indicate that this man identifies as a woman apart from him shouting loudly about "transphobia" in his male voice.

I'm actually impressed by the degree to which pp claims to have brainwashed themself.

I absolutely agree. It has nothing to do with the video BUT: Here are some of the things he did I can’t find the original Twitter threads now that ended up with him leaving it for a bit and losing work with publications. Which everyone including him just pretends didn’t happen now.

DarkDayforMN · 08/05/2023 21:42

And what does that pp when they don't have the helpful cue of someone shouting about transphobia? Do they just see everyone as an undefined blur until they say something to indicate they have a gender identity?

And why do they see two women anyway? The customer isn't screeching about her identity, why are they assuming the customer's identity?

FrostyFifi · 08/05/2023 21:44

And why do they see twowomen anyway? The customer isn't screeching about her identity, why are they assuming the customer's identity?

She's an older woman, she'll be cis and she'll damn well like it.

ThereIbledit · 08/05/2023 21:46

Welp, that there is male violence.

I could not give less of a shiny shit how he’d like to be referred to as. That’s clearly a man. There are only men and women.
