And I think we saw an even faster response when Scotland just recently tried to pass a bill which would allow violent male rapists to be imprisoned with women.

YouGov carry out polls, they don’t set questions. This poll is still three years old and where the implications of Self ID are made clear women are also clear in rejecting it.

As soon as a man declares he is a 'transwoman' he becomes a transwoman and has the protected characteristic of gender reassignment.

I'm thinking about the wording in the surveys, so to try to be fair I'm talking as though the Scottish suggestion was in place.
But yes, in effect any big burly chap can suddenly decide to "be a woman" and without altering his behaviour in any way, must be accepted as a woman.

If more people actually knew that - acceptance would be less. Time will tell.

Anti monarchy protestors are considering suing the Met police.

As well they might, many were arrested seemingly as part of a pre-planned operation, despite being told that they would be allowed to do particular things, then having those things used as justification for arrest.

A high ranking cop told the Guardian that no charges will be made. Others have said that about 40 are on bail. Another said that it was all justified, because "what if," which I find exceptionally sinister.

It all seems to be part of the same pattern, unjustifiable arrests, intimidation and threats, keeping people in bail, with no prospect of any charges.

i wonder if they'll arrest people with placards or megaphones etc at the nest LWS thing? it will be interesting to see.

Yes, especially if they agree beforehand with the organisers that placards and megaphones will be permitted.

Police in one force able to send round officers multiple times to a woman accused of hurtful tweets.

Whilst police in another force not feeling a duty of care to inform a woman of the presence of an abusive ex partner spotted on her property reported by a neighbour on a 999 call. Ex who went on to stab her 7 times in front of her children.

I completely agree. And that's why we should be listening to what the reporting person has said. Investigating and safeguarding properly. And what better way to safeguard someone than arrest the perpetrator.

It doesn't make it clear where Northamptonshire failed here - was it at the caller taker stage, dispatch stage or police officer stage?
