But its a public forum, so the rules allow me to post. And I am not stopping anyone from posting. You are free to post 10 times the volume that I am posting if you wish, I am not stopping you.

But you know that the vast majority of people in this discussion don't want you to keep posting, as it's derailing the conversation we are trying to have.

You know that, and you're carrying on anyway, because you can.

PEAK MALE BEHAVIOUR. On a feminist forum. And no, feminism isn't about equality from both sexes, it's about liberating women from a world dominated by men's voices.

And yet here you are.

Brisland · 08/05/2023 16:50

Women don’t want males in their toilets - males won’t listen and keep invading female spaces.

Women don’t want males in their change rooms - males won’t listen and keep invading female spaces.

Women don’t want males in their sports - males won’t listen and keep invading female competitions and sports.

Women don’t want males taking their opportunities, roles, positions, scholarships and quotas - males won’t listen and keep appropriating female endeavours.

Women don’t want males calling themselves females or women - males won’t listen and keep appropriating female words.

Women don’t want males encroaching on their interactions in feminist spaces - males won’t listen and keep mansplaining feminism and how females feel.

When will males listen to what women are saying?

Dumbo12 · 08/05/2023 16:59

We now appear to have a man telling us that we are feminisming wrong!

Pixiedust1234 · 08/05/2023 20:34

Isn't Feminism trying to strive for equality for both sexes.

No.

averylongtimeago · 08/05/2023 20:55

I see our police expert monitor has moved on to the familiar male role of telling women what to do and think.

"Isn't Feminism trying to strive for equality for both sexes. But yet as a man you're saying I can't be involved or have a say in anything to do with that? "

Well fuck right off with that. Feminism isn't about equality for men- it's for women. For over 60 years men have been telling me what I should do and think- from "girls can't do science " to "what does your husband say about your career " and "you should put your husband and children first" and "your being hysterical, your health issues are just women's problems " (non stop bleeding ti the point I couldn't leave the house) , and "Assaulted? You were asking for it, wearing that blouse!"
I could go on, but you get the picture.

This whole issue to me is yet more men telling women what to do and what to think and I, for one, am done with it.

I was right wasn't I. Felix IS trying to bore us into submission.

Why is anyone paying him any attention?

He obviously enjoys it, why give him the satisfaction?

Grey rock is your friend with abusive men that you can’t avoid.

dunBle · 09/05/2023 07:38

Felix: "Isn't Feminism trying to strive for equality for both sexes."

Nope, that would be egalitarianism.

Felix: "Well, they can't have it both ways - if they are ignoring my posts they won't be aware that I am posting."

To the best of my knowledge, this forum doesn't work like Twitter, so we can't mute you to avoid seeing the vast amount of identical guff you're posting, and hence have to keep scrolling past it to find the interesting bits from other people. So to keep repeating yourself as you have been is pretty antisocial of you really.

I agree. I get it, he's annoying. I'm guilty of snapping back myself. I wish I hadn't.

Every thread he posts on ends up turning into us arguing with him rather than an interesting discussion.

BezMills · 09/05/2023 07:57

Just like with Caroline, the process is the punishment. The similarities are striking.

Not when people are asking the same questions or raising the same points. If they ask the same questions or raise the same points, they are going to get the same replies.

BezMills · 09/05/2023 10:21

Does anyone have any updates on Caroline's ongoing situation? That is something that is interesting to me, and is actually why I follow this thread.

Well that's up to people to to post about the discussion topic. If they want go off topic, its fine. But if they then post things 'off topic' aimed at me don't be surprised if I respond to it.

I'm not the one bringing up spelling, whether or not I am allowed to post on here, pictures of sea lions etc etc. Other threads people suddenly started posting pictures of cheese - if that's not de-railing a topic I don't know what is.

if you want to get back to the discussion topic - we are up to the point that 'we' don't know why the police have attended on this occasion yet so we can't judge if its right or wrong.

Disclaimer - I am using 'we' to mean me and most others on here. I acknowledge that some on here will know or have been told the details of the complaint and I am aware that Caroline may have access to this thread or indeed people close to her. I also acknowledge that the reporting person, OIC and direct witnesses may also read the thread and hence will not be included in the term 'we'.

I think I would be trying to take a break from Twitter/SM for a while if I were in her situation, just to try to switch off from it all and "drop the rope" in relation to the anxiety-inducing aspects of it all. Not that I think she should do that, or that she is wrong if she doesn't! Just what my instincts would be, I feel.

No update so far. She has locked down her account for the time being.

BezMills · 09/05/2023 10:29

ok then I shall hope for the best outcome for her. And that the person who is using the police as useful idiots to harass her, finds something better with which to occupy themselves.

DerekFaker · 09/05/2023 12:22

Not directly related to CF, but another example of police taking tweets more seriously than actual crime:

Anti monarchy protestors are considering suing the Met police https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/arrests-coronation-gmb-republic-graham-smith-b2334749.html

I wonder if Caroline needs to sue the police for harassment to get them to scale down the excessive response?

I suspect Caroline might not be a position of being resilient enough to take this on, in part because of the continued harassment.

As so many have said before, the punishment is the process and I'd add that the process is very effective in silencing dissent and causing legitimate fear of persecution.

Majority of women support trans people's right to self-identify despite relentless transphobia, eye-opening polling finds

Polling on behalf of PinkNews has found that most women support trans people self-identifying as a gender different to the one they were assigned at birth.

I agree, there's no obligation on anyone to push these things through the courts. At some point, it's more important to look after your own mental health and that of those in your immediate family.
