I wasn’t sure whether to post this. Really the person to criticise is Susie Green, but at the same time JG is an adult and has publicly made a video using misogynistic language. Or does the background mean JG should be off-limits? Opinions welcome.

I can imagine that it is not pleasant to have someone talk at length about your personal circumstances and to discuss the ideology behind the issues related to it. But it doesn't have appeared to occur to JG that the person responsible for this is their mother, for allowing such details of her child's private life to be made public in this way, with the TED talk, the documentary, the Mermaids related postings etc etc. Not the people like KJK who react to that content.

For me, because susie made some extreme choices for Jackie when Jackie was a very small child, that led to where (and possibly 'who') Jackie is now.

I think Jackie stayed largely out of the 'debate' until now

I'm only 20 minutes in, Corvus, and I have to leave it for now.

I feel like I'm watching the beginnings of something unravel for Jackie tho.

Jackie comes across as simultaneously deeply unpleasant & deeply damaged.

This struck me, given their size and anger I would find them scary whilst feeling some compassion towards the appalling way their mother has treated them. I will forever be shocked at SG’s laughter about her child’s penis being small and sunning herself whilst her child was undergoing major surgery.

But JG is now an adult and we make lots of damaged children accountable for their actions as adults.

There's a link to a tiktok on Glinner's twitter by Jackie. I don't know when it was posted. Talks of being dumped and deported (from NZ!), struggling with sexuality and getting up in the morning. I felt very sorry. But, it's curated, it (the Tiktok) didn't get on the internet by accident. There's also a fledgling songwriting and singing career, so publicity! Nevertheless, seems lost and trying to find a way.

If JG wants to wade in, JG is fair game for criticism.

Don't get me wrong pot, I said until this video where JG spouts 'bitch' all over the place, JG was off limits for me personally. I would never censor other women who wanted to discuss JG.

But JG is now an adult and we make lots of damaged children accountable for their actions as adults.

We don't always know in life as we come across randoms, or have context as to why people are the way that they are, so we deal with them depending on how irritating or pleasant they are.

It is very sad - Jackie is struggling a lot and finding it hard to get up in the morning and yes, questioning her sexual identity

A narcissist for a mother is never a good start in life

Managed the first minute and gave up.

The issue here, I think, is that a child, now an adult, was held up as an example of a 'success' story. As a model for children suffering gender distress to follow.

Susie Green presented that TED talk as a redemptive story with a happy ending, that 'happy ending' being surgical procedures that resulted in sterility.

I have every sympathy with someone who has faced yes, a lot of trauma - the wider issue is that this narrative, this story, is being sold to younger children.

Remember this? JG's life is being used as propaganda to market to children.

Full video removed now so I couldn't watch it. Struck by the stupid teen girl affectations and insults but more struck by the fact that all the drugs and surgery in the world seem not to be able to disguise this person's sex. That must be a cause of much bitterness and hatred of women (we see this regularly with TW)and perhaps even more so when having a pop at KJK who is petite and beautiful and all the things that this person can never be.

So, you know, I wish Jackie well and hope that there is peace, acceptance and happiness out there for them.

What is not okay is anyone continuing with the bullshit lies and misinformation that is behind that narrative to suggest to children and young people that 'sex change' is possible and/or a 'choice'.

Jackie still repeats (several times) 'girl brain in a boy body' and 'born in the wrong body' and 'puberty blockers are fully reversible'. As if these assertions are unarguable. Cass has disproved the last assertion, and the NHS has at last wised up to the untruth of it.

The first two are 1. sexist and 2. philosophically very arguable.

Last point is that Jackie repeats many, many times in the video that they made those choices themself. Clearly not grasping even the beginnings of consent or child protection. Children cannot consent to these things. Consent has to be informed, and a child cannot understand the full implications.

I feel pity and sadness for them and hope that women like SG can stop being enabled to damage their children in such a monstrous way.

I started this video this morning, and still had it in an open window when I’ve come back to it now so I’m continuing watching it.

Is Jackie really 30 years old now? The lack of maturity is shocking.

Yes, JG is very immature, lending support to the argument that puberty is essential for brain development. JG appears trapped in perpetual adolescence.

Continuously calling KJK “Posie Prick” is not a good look. Jackie looks to be very thin and like others have said, vulnerable.
It’s like watching a video my teenager daughters would make, all eye rolls and insults.

Did you see the Sam Smith performance with Kim recently, I noted Kim was trapped in a cage.

having watched the full video Last night the highlight came at 30.50 mins in when Jackie confirms Susie was fired from Mermaids.
