Do people with no hair usually carry hairspray incase others need it?

Seeing as though what I was reading went poof.

Oh and did MNHQ explain to you why your thread was being taken down? I mean beyond the ‘not helping anyone’ stuff that is so vague as to not leave a clue as to the actual offence…..

Of course not. I think they capitulated to TRA feedback, as is ever thus. Poor show MN.

It feels pretty discourteous to not bother to give an actual reason to the OP as to why a thread has been pulled.

Just that it wasn't helpful to anyone. But I was finding it helpful.. as other were I presume?

MoggyMittens23 · 08/04/2023 09:59

To be clear I was finding it helpful in the sense it was a safe space for women to be able to talk about this huge issue that is affecting us. But I think I may have that wrong now of course.

Wittow · 08/04/2023 10:05

I have no idea who Dylan is. Sounds a bit weird to me. What was Tiger Woods doing with a tampon recently? Maybe it's a thing in the USA?! 🤪

Sidaway · 08/04/2023 10:16

I've only skim-read the thread but just to say, strangers in ladies toilets NEVER ask for or offer sanitary products. Just not a thing.

Like with the gents, there's an ettiquette of respecting each other's privacy and minimal interaction (apart from a bit of light banter if the dryer isn't working).

Caught out? Improvise a pad from toilet paper. These trans "women" are on a different planet if they think otherwise.

NotRightNowNo · 08/04/2023 10:30

We're not allowed to say someone with a penis is a man? On mumsnet?
I believe biological sex cannot be altered, only masked with 'treatments ' to make someone feel 'happier'. Can I say that?

converseandjeans · 08/04/2023 10:32

Just saw tweet about Nike & looked at DMs Insta. He doesn't need a sports bra. If you look at his previous post of him jumping into water in Denmark in a swimming costume it's clear he is male. He appears to have stubble on his chin under his make up. I can't work out if he has had surgery. However he is definitely not a woman. It's insulting that he behaves in such a way that suggests women all like pink & prancing about in party dresses.

converseandjeans · 08/04/2023 10:33

Also would not approach someone for a tampon who I knew wasn't a woman 🤷🏻‍♀️

Datun · 08/04/2023 10:34

Yes, it was Jessica Yaniv who wanted to help 10-year-olds insert tampons, and wondered, on a teenage Facebook group, whether he would see the girls' tampon string when he was using their changing room.

It's little wonder certain people want to report these threads. Most people remain blissfully unaware that so many men have a menstruation fetish. And that tampons are all part of it.

I'm sure Tampax can't be unaware though. If you make the damn things, you must've come across it.

You'd think that would be reason enough to not ask a man to promote them, wouldn't you?

Maybe it was the CEO of Tampax who asked for the thread to be deleted.

In which case, you really should have thought this through, mate.

Exactly. That’s me, you and OP just on this thread. There will be lots more. So not true to say it’s not helping anyone.

Exactly, a huge assault on our safety and lives, an attempted removal of rights, aided and abetted by the most powerful, censorship almost everywhere. And now MN want to shut us down as well.

Mumped · 08/04/2023 10:39

I found it helpful in the way I find all threads on MN that shine light on this issue.

It makes me feel less alone, less like I am going mad, more sure that this is an issue that needs to be highlighted, discussed, challenged.

Let women speak.

I am beyond furious that MNHQ have repeatedly censored me, I have a right to speak and a right to state biological fact. MNHQ have no right to dictate how I refer to anyone. I will not go along with the perpetuation of womanface by companies who clearly hate women. The mob want us all to be good submissive little women who will sit and be quiet as we are humiliated and mocked and stripped of our sex based rights and safe spaces. They are trying to silence and erase women. I will not be silenced.

Misstache · 08/04/2023 11:02

The reason we’re not allowed to say any accurate sexed terms is then it makes it obvious what people are defending. If you say, “a man offered women tampons in the bathroom” everyone knows it’s gross. But removing sexed terms allows people to disingenuously say, “terfs are mad because a woman gave another woman tampons.” That’s why we’re also not allowed terms like natal woman, bio woman, or anything that makes obvious the distinction. It allows the game playing of “so? A woman was in the women’s changing room where else should she be?”

converseandjeans · 08/04/2023 11:03

Just looking at Twitter and it looks like tweets are also being deleted. I imagine this thread will be too.

It's a really bizarre thing for Tamoax to offer to sponsor a male to promote their products.

He has had facial feminisation surgery. He hasn’t had surgery to remove his cock and balls. He has talked about using tuck tape to smooth down his “little privates”.

If his wittering on about tampons is being seen more widely, that’s a good thing. Even “be kind” people must be having a “wtf” moment. Women know that they will never ask a tw for a tampon and most men must realise that too. It might finally wake people up to both the fascination with menstruation (the correct word gets the post pulled), and the way some men simultaneously mock and are disgusted by periods.

Interesting that DM isn’t interested in carrying sanitary pads to offer to women, isn’t it. Just tampons. Some men are fascinated by tampons because they are objects that are inserted in the vagina. Men associate that with sexual pleasure. Some simply can’t understand how it isn’t arousing (there are some fairly revolting discussions on Twitter about this). Teenage boys hang around outside school toilets taunting girls about “shoving it up”. A tampon is seen as a proxy for a penis, something to be rammed into a woman who is consequently sent into an orgasmic frenzy. Fathers forbid their young daughters to use tampons because it will be her future husband’s privilege to go there first. It’s all disgusting misogyny, and the more people see the connection between this and the likes of DM the better.

"I asked for a thread to be deleted recently as I was finding the responses upsetting (calling me a shit mother etc)

MNHQ refused, saying too many people had taken the time to post. And if I don't like it I can hide the thread. "

I've had the same

It is really bizarre. In fact, it’s crazy insane.

Looks like they want to not only use a man to advertise a product that can only be used by women, but also to control discussion about that and dictate removal of any dissent or questioning of it.

Who put them in charge of the Ministry for Censorship?

I would think Tampax would be really, really keen to have a good image on MN, a site for women with a huge readership. I expect they’re very keen to shut down any conversation that puts them in a bad light.

But here’s the thing, Tampax. Women are not little puppets you get to control, so they get to be good little consumers who happily hand over their £ to you, while you bend us over and roger us.

I use tampons. I usually use Tampax, as I prefer to use an applicator. I’ve found own brands hit and miss in terms of comfort and ease of use. So I usually pay the higher price for Tampax. That won’t be happening any more after this.

So it was unhelpful for you, yet they let it stand, even though you, it’s originator, whose life it was about, told them it was unhelpful?

Hhmmmmm…. <strokes chin>

Let me guess - you’re neither trans, nor a rich, powerful corporate with attack-dog lawyers, are you?

converseandjeans · 08/04/2023 11:17

@FictionalCharacter @ATerrorofLeftovers

I have just looked at his TikTok and he seems really popular.

I wasn't aware that there was a fetishisation of using Tampax. You learn something new every day. I've never used Tampax & always used non applicator ones.

The world has gone mad!

How did you guess??? I am none of those things!

Ericaequites · 08/04/2023 11:30

As a purse carrying.lesbian, my partners have borrowed a tampon on occasion. They complain bitterly they aren’t the right size or brand. I suggest they throw a few of theirs in my bag. They grumble. It’s all part of life in lesbian land. Most men know that touching a feminine protection packet means they will come for your wedding tackle at 0500. I learned this working in a car dealership. It’s a great way to hide stuff at a workplace with men. They never help themselves to highlighters, data cards, or so on from those containers.

gogohmm · 08/04/2023 11:30

In 40 years I've never asked another woman for sanpro nor been asked! It simply isn't a normal everyday occurrence. I have a mirena and don't use it so tough if you asked me anyway Smile.

I'm not offended by a trans woman having some on them, it's just misguided - a bit desperate to fit in but doesn't know how to, a bit like the ott female dressing whereas many of us owners of xx chromosomes simply pull on jeans or trackie bottoms and a loose top, no make up to go out doing basic chores, whereas at the garden centre there was a beautifully made up, immaculate clothes etc trans woman, just ott! (Their choice though i can't get worked up and they used the unisex family toilet provided!)
