Do people with no hair usually carry hairspray incase others need it?

Seeing as though what I was reading went poof.

Mumsnet is probably in a bind. There is a whole heap of money and power involved here, and advertisers. I would say that biological women are not winning the argument. Maybe I'll ask for any comment saying cis women to refer to me to be deleted, since that offends me.

highfidelity · 07/04/2023 16:26

Dylan has not changed his name, nor is he taking hormones or waiting for gender reassignment surgery. His whole schtick about his 365 days of girlhood is nothing more than an act designed to cash in on being transgender, and in doing so, is mocking women (and genuine transwomen) in the process.

Am tired of MNHQ deleting threads about this - Dylan is wearing woman face and helping to perpetrate the fallacy that being a woman is nothing more than a feeling and an identity, rather than something based entirely on biological and one's lived-in experience of being a woman.

SirChenjins · 07/04/2023 16:37

Thank you for starting this new thread. Shame on you MN - forcing women to lie or be silenced.

Dylan/he/him - biological reality.

FannyCann · 07/04/2023 16:42

SmartHome · 07/04/2023 16:05

How was it even supposed to be helping anyone anyway 😭

Handlers have obviously been in touch. They may be able to shutdown discussion here as MN areess able to withstand that nonsense, but discussion of Dylan Mulvaney is all over twitter and various other platforms and it's pretty obvious what the prevailing opinion is 🤣

Even my husband came across the Nike advert and had a WTF and WTHIH (I think that's Who the Hell is He) moment.
Hearing that he has an advertising deal with tampax just about finished him.

It seems a widespread fantasy, trans women think we all share pads/tampons in the cubicles and ‘bond’.

If you’re not my sister, good friend or daughter I’m not going to be asking you for sanitary products, I’ll be rolling up loo roll as a makeshift pad til I get home/to a shop!

It's in the latest episode of Ted Lasso.

As for the thread I think it's ludicrous that Nike and Tampax have gone down this road. My DD is 25 and is changing her views rapidly as it becomes more ridiculous so there's hope.

Madamecastafiore · 07/04/2023 16:51

I'll get a pack for DH and DS tomorrow at Tesco if it's the done thing for men to carry tampons now just in case. Clever marketing as DH and DS have never needed them!

CwmYoy · 07/04/2023 16:54

As if any woman would ask a bloke for a tampon.

DOBARDAN · 07/04/2023 16:59

I'm massively creeped out by the thought of Dylan wanting to hand out tampons eeergh, and as for the Nike advert, well it appears to mock women in my opinion.

BreadInCaptivity · 07/04/2023 17:10

We all know what sex DM is.

We all know DM is cashing in on parodying "girlhood".

We all see the rank rank misogyny on display.

It's hugely offensive and exploitative.

DM's feelings don't trump mine or that if any woman.

We should be allowed to call this out for what it is and for what DM is.

I don't want DM and their manic demonic grin, prancing around female spaces whilst they mock womanhood.

Ashia · 07/04/2023 17:14

UltimateWario · 07/04/2023 15:16

Why are we not allowed to talk about this?

Why are women being silenced on one of the largest platforms for women and mothers in the UK?

Why do MNHQ care more about the feelings of a small percentage of men over the feelings of the majority of its users?

I don’t think Mumsnet are prioritising anyone’s feelings but I do think they have to think about legal risk from time to time.

Legal risk of what, though? Calling him a man? He is one. And here in the UK, thankfully, we’re protected in law and are able to call a biological man a man, regardless of what he might prefer us to refer to him as.

thatsn0tmyname · 07/04/2023 17:22

I find it a bit creepy that transwomen are carrying tampons. To insert in their left ear? I have never asked a stranger for a tampon and I certainly wouldn't ask a male.

Is he still a brand ambassador for Tampax? Just so I know whether to boycott them.

MrsOvertonsWindow · 07/04/2023 17:41

That proverb - When sleeping women wake, mountains move. That's what's happening - here in the UK and world wide. Men can't eradicate the sex class of women and assume that women won't notice. Every time Biden, Starmer, Lammy, Sturgeon or any other politician insist that transwomen are now women, more and more women go WTF?

They can bully and threaten us all they like - but insisting that the population accepts evident lies is never sustained.

Animalsoffartingwood · 07/04/2023 17:43

We know APG exists. Are we allowed to say so now?
We know most men think of tampons only in the sense of where they are stuck.

We've seen the videos of what some transwomen do in toilets.

Why do they have obsessions with tampons, raiding bins, handing them out?

Join.the. dots.

xabia · 07/04/2023 17:47

Has ANYONE actually been asked by a stranger if they have a spare tamponGrinGrin
Is this another fantasy like girlie pillow fights?

UrsulaPandress · 07/04/2023 17:49

There used to be machines in toilets.

oakleaffy · 07/04/2023 17:57

@UltimateWario
Yesterday I was at a group where someone with a male appendage and ballsack says “ They have a period every three days”

I was so angered by this-
This - PERSON- who has never, ever known what it is like to suffer periods AND NEVER WILL was proudly talking about how they were in a women’s group where a specialist had come along to talk about female issues like periods, menopause, endometriosis &c.

Yet we aren’t allowed to discuss this??

A lot of people are very angry about this, including some Gay and Straight Men who wouldn’t DREAM of invading a female only space.

Yet if we talk about it, our posts get deleted?

What insane world are we living in??

I was in a Gay part of a City recently and there are Gay men absolutely sick of the nonsense going on as well as Lesbians .

There IS a growing awareness of the unfairness of the current crazy situation.

The more people speak out in defence of Women’s safe spaces, the better.

Absolutely right.
It’s a grotesque parody

A grinning 😁 🤡 clown who mocks women.

I always carry viagra, a dummy, a poo bag and a penknife. Just in case.

Doesn't everybody?

I have to carry various food items and sensory material and earphones as my son is ASD … does that count?

ArsMamatoria · 07/04/2023 18:12

Maybe he should also start carrying a couple of pillows around in case some women want to start an impromptu pillow fight?
