Do people with no hair usually carry hairspray incase others need it?

Seeing as though what I was reading went poof.

Public service announcement: For places you won't be censored for saying that DM is a man, you want the Farms, twitter or Ovarit. You do need to be a robust sort for the first two.

MrsMurphyIWish · 07/04/2023 18:27

I would like to know if MNHQ would be content with their daughters sharing a private space with a penis?

Joined Ovarit yesterday after being sickened by someone saying they have periods every three days.

I was just fuming.

Hard to see in what other ways Mulvaney could be a spokesperson for tampons? Perhaps by showing how they could be used to stop drafts in badly fitting windows and doors or as emergency wound coverage?

And yes, I agree that all this comes from a great disdain for women, the idea that we can be safely ignored, and that enough of us will feel happy for being seen as 'kind' and understanding and undemanding so that doing this will be win for the advertisers.

Legal risk of what, though? Calling him a man? He is one. And here in the UK, thankfully, we’re protected in law and are able to call a biological man a man, regardless of what he might prefer us to refer to him as.

We may be protected in law but we're not protected on MN.

I posted on the thread that was deleted and said everyone knew that DM's sex was <4 letter word for a person with small gametes>. My post was deleted for breaking talk guidelines.

I must be the only person here who thinks this whole Dylan story is great news! It's like an April Fool's story, yet it's all true.

My blood pressure has shot up so many times over this issue, but this story is just so ludicrous just makes me quietly smile. <sunlight emoji>

Well thats just ridiculous

Dylan is male…

he has to be a male in order to be a transwoman…..thats the whole fucking pointing

Eh? But MN seemed to have become more reasonable in recent months. I’ve certainly seen lots of other threads about TWs that have referred to them as male. Which, of course they are.

Your post was factual. He IS male.

One can only assume DM is getting special treatment because of who he is. And who his sponsors are.

Very true. I actually hope that ad gets showed far and wide. Because one watch of DM prancing about in that bra will be enough to peak the majority who see it. Sunlight.

Plugging their ears so they can't be told their reality doesn't exist?

I think it is great news. My DS is completely GC at 11. My DD (13) has been “kind” and horrified at how mean I am with regards to this.

However, DD also has very bad and painful periods and came across a transwoman video about how their periods were so much worse that “cis women”. DD was furious. I think I will show her DM as brand ambassador for tampax tomorrow. Think that will be it for her kindness.

RubyTrees · 07/04/2023 22:12

@RufustheSpeculatingreindeer
@ATerrorofLeftovers

My post might have been factual but it must have been reported by someone who couldn't accept biological reality.

Several other posts that appeared in the first few pages were also deleted probably for the same reason before the whole thread was removed.

its not so much that they were reported as the fact that MNHQ saw fit to delete them…thats the ludicrous thing

(well one of the ludicrous things…lots of ludicrous things are happening at the moment)

I'm.finding it helpful to see what's happened.. thanks.to the OP and others ...

TeaMistress · 07/04/2023 22:37

Yep and yet again MNHQ have deleted my post. Mumsnet are complicit in silencing women who are stating biological fact.

Needmoresleep · 08/04/2023 07:46

Very strange. Dylan is not the first to be ready to offer tampons. From memory that Canadian bloke (whose name I do remember, but to help the mods…) was offering to show younger teens how to use them.

I can only recall a couple of times when female colleagues asked me discretely in the office whether I had a tampon. I may have done the same. In the loo…never. And even if I needed to ask, I would not have picked the male looking, attention seeking “woman” who was already making me feel uncomfortable.

Dylan is allowed to have their fantasies, but what about them keeping them to themselves. Nike paying for them to essentially broadcast what might be described as kinks is at best in poor taste.

PomegranateOfPersephone · 08/04/2023 08:22

The Canadian, J Yaniv, who hung about in women’s toilets with a tampon hoping to help a random 10 year old girl suddenly having her first period to insert a tampon and took two beauticians to court for refusing to wax testicles? That Canadian?

BluebellBlueballs · 08/04/2023 08:35

I am the OP of the original thread and absolutely fuming it was deleted. I think because I politely asked the mod to feed back how disgusted so many of us were at the deletions for misgendering DM.

This thread will probably go poof now too as a TAAT.

When I had accidentally posted identifiable information about a court case involving a family member and asked for my thread to be deleted a while back I was told no, mn don't like to delete whole threads. So they won't for me when i was begging them to, but will for the untouchable DM who probably was not even aware of yesterday's thread personally. Beggars belief.

I bet you were fuming. I was too, having taken the time to post on it, and feeling very strongly it was an important discussion to air.

Taking down the whole thread on the supposed grounds of ‘we don’t think it’s helping anyone’ when they happily leave threads the OP genuinely finds unhelpful and has told them as much, exposes this for what it is.

For the avoidance of doubt, for MNHQ, I was finding your thread very helpful to be able to discuss this issue. If the reason for taking it down was genuinely what MN said, no doubt they’ll now reinstate it, given they’ve been told it WAS helpful to posters.

Let’s see.

Oh and did MNHQ explain to you why your thread was being taken down? I mean beyond the ‘not helping anyone’ stuff that is so vague as to not leave a clue as to the actual offence…..
