Do people with no hair usually carry hairspray incase others need it?

Seeing as though what I was reading went poof.

That's really excellent. All absolutely true.

ATerrorofLeftovers · 10/04/2023 18:00

I see my post was deleted by MNHQ.

IIRC I had replied to somebody wondering why their post had been deleted for saying he’s a man.

I think I said ‘But he IS a man’.

Which is nothing more than a statement of fact.

But clearly, in MNland, some facts are beyond the pale.

I’m nearly 50. Never in my life up until the last few years would I have ever thought I would be censored in the UK for stating a fact. If you’d asked me about it previously, I’d have just associated this kind of controlling behaviour with iron curtain countries, Nazi Germany, or China. Not something that could happen in the UK, tbe thought alone would have been absurd.

Yet here we are.

How can MN staff happily censor users for stating a fact in this way? I mean, how do they sleep at night? I’d have to resign if it were me. I just couldn’t collude in such an immoral, misogynistic, gaslighting agenda.

there is no rhyme nor reason, loads of men/male posts are still standing

a while back individual posters were being targeted….too many reports and they were banned

They don't even have the balls (unlike Dylan) to explain their censorship on this thread.

Well, yes. An explanation of their policy would be helpful. Even if it turns out to be as shit as it looks like it might be, at least we’d know.

Time to bycott the brands (s)he endorses. Making a mockery of being a woman

oakleaffy · 10/04/2023 20:09

DM reminds me of a Ventriloquist’s Dummy.
The fact DM is endorsing so many women’s items is alarming.
What on Earth are the advertisers hoping to gain by alienating women?

Absolutely agree with you.
Mumsnet is censoring in the manner I associated with Oppressive regimes.
It’s alarming.

DM is absolutely ripping the piss out of Women.

An excellent article. I only wish DM would read it, understand why women are so furious and develop some self-awareness.

FrancescaContini · 10/04/2023 22:39

Excellent article. I agree: Just don’t do it.

Delphinium20 · 11/04/2023 01:22

My teen daughters and their friends all find DM to be a jerk. They see DM as mocking them, which is true. DM helped peak my oldest DD, which is ironic, isn't it?

DM is a misogynistic grifter.

Mumped · 11/04/2023 08:39

My teen DD doesn’t really get the outrage about DM, as ‘the internet is full of oddballs’.

She just thinks DM is a strange, sad, attention seeking dude. She is mystified by his followers, as she said nobody she knows likes him and ‘it must be Americans’ Grin.

This article is brilliant. 100% nailed it.

Thank you for sharing - I will share with as many people as I can - hopefully this will help them sit up and take notice and actually care what's happening to women's rights.

I find it a bit creepy that transwomen are carrying tampons. To insert in their left ear? I have never asked a stranger for a tampon and I certainly wouldn't ask a male.

It's a common fetish.

And then people wonder why so many women want to keep our facilities single sex.

No, thank you.

hamstersarse · 11/04/2023 13:09

Is it even wrong to be transphobic these days?

I see the attacks on womanhood by trans people as being something I should be quite phobic to?

DeanVolecapeAKAelderberry · 11/04/2023 13:16

I can understand people being concerned about transphobia if that carries through to negative attitudes to people who identify as trans, some (maybe most) of whom are victims of this odd new enthusiam.

otoh, I'm happy to be genderphobic, disliking genderism, the people who push it, and the totalitarian attitude many of them adopt.

hamstersarse · 11/04/2023 13:21

It is hard to be positive about the trans movement though. Is for me anyway, given the absolute disregard for women and children.

DeanVolecapeAKAelderberry · 11/04/2023 13:29

I'd describe it as genderism, not as a trans movement. Transition is a by product, it's really about hating women and gay people and systematising and enforcing oppression. Transition is an expression of that oppression.

hamstersarse · 11/04/2023 13:21

Can you imagine the fuss if someone did an equally stereotypical, belittling caricature of a black person? A disabled person? A trans person? An indigenous person?

It's only women it's ok to treat this way, and it's women expected to indulge and respond the way mummies do to the toddler presenting them with a filled potty.

Nike, should I ever want to prance backwards into the bush in the style of Mr Bean taking the piss out of women exercising, I will know exactly where to buy the costume to do it in.

MarkWithaC · 11/04/2023 13:37

Sorry, what? Am I understanding correctly: MN has deleted a thread about a man because someone said he's a man?

MN, if you're reading/policing here, could you post and explain the rationale to us all? Thank you.

I stand with the other posters here in saying a) Dylan Mulvaney is a man and b) our right to say/post that is legally protected.

hamstersarse · 11/04/2023 13:42

'Transphobia' is a term used alongside 'hate speech' to close down women's opinions and voices. MN have been using it for years to close down debate.

The concept of 'Hate speech' is a gift to the TRAs

Bunshaped · 11/04/2023 13:45

MN, if you're reading/policing here, could you post and explain the rationale to us all? Thank you.

Yes, I'd also like clarification of this, MN.

Before Maya's case, posts that said TWANW were deleted constantly.
After Maya, it seemed we were finally allowed to speak the truth.

So what is the rationale for these deletions now?
