I'm genuinely curious, what is it you found helpful to be informed? I mean after stating the obvious that men are men no matter what they call themselves or identify as, what else is thee left to say?

Why DO TRAs insist on calling their protests ‘counter protests?’

The women at LWS Brighton were speaking about their own lived experiences, they weren’t there to protest against another, third event.

When Scottish women assembled outside Holyrood to protest against the GRR Bill, the TRAs could legitimately describe their presence as a ‘counter protest’ against the protest organised by For Women Scot, which was a protest against the bill being debated inside.

Whatever it is that TRAs do at LWS speaking tour events, cannot, in good faith, be described as a ‘counter protest’.

Describing TRA attempts to scare women into shutting up and when that fails, trying to drown their voices out with noise as ‘a counter protest’ is pure TRA propaganda.

I am not going to speak for Elsie, however I learn a lot about what campaigns are running, I learn different perspectives on things that are concerning others so I can appreciate their concerns better, I learn about laws and how they effect my life and others.

A lot of very knowledgeable speakers attend these events as well as speakers with unique perspectives that add to my understanding.

Exactly. The speeches are a huge mix of information about how this issue affects women and children in many situations.

Lots of the women who attend are running different organisations working on different aspects. I normally head home with new contacts made, new ideas of actions to take and new understanding of why it's all so important.

The social afterwards is a really important part of the event.

I attended yesterday for the first time after watching previous events on you tube. I really enjoyed the event. Not just the speakers but also the chance to talk to other women attending.

If they are that may not be a good thing. They will try something less violent but more pointed, suggest that women's sex-segregated spaces are unnecessary, sexist or whatever.

There is the possibility that TRAs have decided the best way to silence women is to ignore them and keep lobbying in the way they have already learned, so that it becomes impossible to articulate the opposite of what they say. Ignoring people is a powerful way to silence them. Women know this, surely?

Much of my activism is writing letters, writing to MPs etc working with my school and of course peaking women at every chance I get.
I'm coming on Sunday with my terflettes and we are bringing our Easter eggs to eat whilst we listen or chat at the back. I like to 5alk to passer boys and ask them if they would like to know what is going on. That's not always possible when you are kettled in with a baying mob of transterrorists.
