TRAs seem to be keeping away since organisers gained assurances from police that the women would, at last, be protected.
Lots of gay men also attending in support

I've just watched the camera pan round whilst they are singing. Wow there's a lot of supporters there today. And a lot of police!. What a surprise!. Obviously someone high up wasnt impressed with last weeks internet coverage!

Venice Allen and Julia Long met with police yesterday. Gained assurances that they will not be obstructed by TRAs. Think they realise it's not a good look.

There's been a real seachange.

Fantastic.

Ohyoudodoyou · 02/04/2023 16:07

I'm watching it and am so determined to go to the next one and get as many women together as possible. so good to see those brave women talking without threatening behaviour, men screaming and spitting at them. What a difference so the police need to heed this.

BigFrau · 02/04/2023 16:09

Lots of unis have already broken up for Easter. I’d bet a tenner a significant number of last week’s protesters were back home sitting down to a Sunday roast this week.

Hahaha, this is so true. Getting their dinner cooked and their washing done at home with mummy and daddy.

I am soooo pleased that this event's been successful. Was feeling massively nervous on behalf of all the brave women attending. And hoping beyond hope that no one would get injured.

SimplyAverage · 02/04/2023 16:12

I caught a speech, about the UN net zero green agenda.

I will watch the rest later.

Yes, you are right! They'll be skiing with ma and pa over the next weekend so should be quiet!

EndlessTea · 02/04/2023 16:19

I like Sally’s swagger!

So how did the TRAs know to stay away?

Rainonthehorizon · 02/04/2023 16:24

Aja has caught one lone TRA staging some sort of one man interpretive dance protest in front of the police which I'm childishly sniggering at.

I love the casual hand in the pocket. She’s brilliant.

A lot of people got Peaked this week I reckon.

QueenHippolyta · 02/04/2023 16:25

That's wonderful to see. Julia Long and Venice Allen are heroines!
The TRAs are losing and the Police higher ups are waking up to actually do their fecking job!

Giggorata · 02/04/2023 16:26

Excellent!
But the minute the eyes of the press are elsewhere, they'll be back, I reckon.

So how did the TRAs know to stay away?

They noted the high number of student train tickets out of London in the last few days.

EmpressaurusOfCats · 02/04/2023 16:34

Fantastic. And next Sunday they’ll all be home with Mummy & Daddy getting their Easter eggs.

dcbc1234 · 02/04/2023 16:35

Great to hear.

ControversialOpening · 02/04/2023 16:37

Aja says there are 3 TRAs attending.

Notice how there are no reports of them being attacked, screamed at, surrounded or bullied in any way. Everybody seems quite ok with their presence.

Now imagine how the 'be kind' people would treat 3 GC women at one of the numerous trans days.

So how did the TRAs know to stay away?

They probably didn’t even notice that LWS have gone from monthly to weekly!

So how did the TRAs know to stay away?

Well the Home Office spoke out. I'm sure the Home Office and met have spoken this week about the bloody awful publicity from the police mess up on two separate events last weekend which was getting into the press.

A cynical mind would wonder what the met were told, and whether the met with their political sympathies made some phone calls themselves.

EndlessTea · 02/04/2023 16:42

The wheels on the TERF bus 😂

plumbago · 02/04/2023 16:44

There certainly has been a sea change. I've just been talking on the phone to my aged father, who's 96 and lives in a care home - and out of the blue he said, 'Did you see that terrible fracas in New Zealand with Posie Parker, and those dreadful woke police officers?' He's got all his marbles and reads the Daily Telegraph online every day, but never before has he shown any interest in this subject. Now recent events have well and truly peaked him!
