Let Women Speak is for women to speak about themselves.

It’s great that we actually got to hear them for once.

I didn’t hear anything anti trans. I did hear women talking about things that matter to them. Women talking about women’s rights is pro-women not anti anything. If you aren’t interested in listening to women speak - fine but to define the importance of the event by whether or not TRA’s turned up is to spectacularly miss the point.

Great to see. Love seeing the gay mens network there too, (although see my Twitter account has been suspended-I only like & occasionally share 🥴).

Looking forward to finally getting to attend Let women speak when it's in Belfast in a fortnight!

@QueenHippolyta you obviously missed the sarcasm, I am a big fan of women's free speech and I think it is excellent that the women could be heard at the weekend. I could not hear the women speak at the Brighton SFW event.

It seems like this was disappointing for some who were hoping for a big, exciting ruckus with lots of violence and aggression.

It wasn't meant to be entertainment - it was meant to be an opportunity for women to have a public platform from which to speak.

If you want entertainment watch Netflix.

It was absolutely amazing to have women speak, and for hundreds of people at the event witness that woman speaking. Even if it meant catching up with it on YouTube later. It is being there and witnessing the event. It would be brilliant to have amplification but sadly that is not allowed at Hyde Park unless you are using it to drown out women's voices, then it is hand waved away as 'human rights'.....

That is the way these events should run. Well done everyone!

I really hope the next SFW is just as peaceful but considering KJK Tweeted a picture of herself covered in tomato soup and invited the TRAs to bring eggs then I doubt it somehow.

I don't think it is tone policing when KJK is encouraging people to throw eggs at her event. We saw how it escalated in NZ.

That isn't KJK giving women a platform to speak, it is being bloody irresponsible and putting women in danger.

I've been to quite a few of these and the ones with no protestors are interesting, informative and provide a fantastic opportunity for women to network. It's much more pleasant to meet and not come away with ringing ears.

The optics of the "be kind" crowd yelling at women is obviously interesting, but extremely unpleasant to be involved in.
