'Trans Day of Vengeance' protest continues as planned following Nashville shooting

Critics are questioning a transgender activist group's upcoming "Trans Day of Vengeance" protest, which is expected to go on as planned despite coming just days after a trans person walked into a Tennessee Christian school and killed six people, including three children.

Despite pushback, including Twitter removing social media posts promoting the event, it appears the "Trans Day of Vengeance" event is still slated for Saturday morning in front of the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C.

The event is being organized by the Trans Radical Activist Network (TRAN), which informed The National Desk (TND) it would not comment beyond a press release shared by the organization on its website.

My experience with it as a whole has just been bizarre honestly.
Ever since JKR first started tweeting her concerns, it's been like I'm living in a completely different reality.
Like the world I once knew that made sense, where you could discuss things without fear of being attacked for just thinking out loud, and asking questions out loud? That world is just gone now.

Like for gods sake, I went to a CofE girls school, I used to go to an after school Philosophy club with like 6 friends, they all came out with A*s each, they're intelligent women, and they're all fully on the TWAW-train.
Most of them unfriended me on everything years ago when I first defended JKR.
People will say she's said x, y, or z, I'll look, and she just hasn't.

In school and college people were so into looking at sources, checking for themselves, and then as soon as the JKR stuff happened, all of that stuff just... Stopped? For some reason?
Any further reading, any introspection, any freedom of thought, just gone. And it was all SO quick?

As much as I don't necessarily personally agree with everything KJK says - I wouldn't call Blaire White a man for example - I'm just so so grateful she's making headway and she has my eternal support, and future votes no regardless. <3

What, indeed, is the vengeance for? If it's for the homicides of transgender people, shouldn't it be in Brazil? Transgender people in the US are killed at a rate much lower than the rate at which the general population is killed, and mostly for the same motives as in all killings, i.e., not because of sheer hatred of someone being trans.

If it's for the (rushed and perhaps not carefully thought out) decisions of many Republican state governments in the US, shouldn't it be just political protests and not vengeance?

Who are the people against whom vengeance is sought here? Just everyone else? Government officials? The people (mostly men) who have actually attacked transgender people for hate reasons? Gender critical feminists? The parents of the organisers? And how do they think they reach the right target here?

I have never come across 'day of vengeance' language form any other social justice movement. There's something disordered in the thinking of those activists who are doing this.

There were some tweets from the former nonbinary mayor of Bangor about how it was when not if the Government was going to start herding transpeople into camps and then killing them. But he's got another account where he's gaily repairing a boat. So, no urgency, he knows he is talking mince. But why? It gives me the impression of role playing. That there lives are much more exciting and edgy than they actually are. I think they do it for the drama.

I think the majority, on some level, understand this. But they're ready to step into character as 'the most oppressed' at the drop of a hat. I think it's a minority, who probably truly are vulnerable, who seriously believe the hyperbole. They are being tortured by their allies and I think that's evil.

How are so many people actually going along with this ideology? That's what I can't get my head around, and that's a genuine question too.
I cannot grasp how people can't see how insane the trans politics is.
Nothing against genuinely trans people, but there's such an obvious difference between an individual vs this weird, woman hating political movement.

I'm nearly 27, and all of my once friends are either all super NPC about it, or so intensely pro-trans that you can't even suggest to them that it's for trans people's benefit that they're not sterilised when they're children so that if they want families when they're older, they have the option.
Rather than the choice being made for them when they're too young to understand.

It's baffling.

What does NPC stand for please?

I heard a line in a film the other day about 'angst: the rich person's answer to real problems' and thought... they have a point in there.

Own up. Who patented toddlers? I've had several with design faults, particularly faulty night charging....

Yes. MN was all too familiar with the behaviours and seeing through them. And caring about others without that meaning sentiment and giving up boundaries to them. And believing that mummies have inner lives and needs as well as baby. Even if that really, really pisses baby off.
