I don’t know if she can win given it’s been a Labour constituency since it was formed (in 1980s) and was held by Frank Dobson and then Keir Starmer and according to data is a ‘progressive’ constituency, average age 41 and good job security. Interestingly I can’t find data on constituency make up by sex.

I’m not sure she’s expecting to win. She knows she can cause an awful lot of disruption though. And I say bring it on!

I have never been this excited for a political party in my entire life!

We all know she's not going to win, but damnit it will be marvelous and exciting and hilarious!

I know. But allow me a brief moment to imagine them stood on the stage whilst the officer reads out the result and we hear she got all the Labour votes...

And I'm back in the room

I agree with PP re MSM being conservative and KJK potentially being a disruptor to the left.

I would like to see her break through as a Nigel Farage type - single issue, plain speaking and stealing the show. Hopefully the UK is ready for this given all the debate we've had over the last year.

Unlike Farage though I totes agree with KJK.

Exactly.

The Greens didn’t need electoral wins, the other parties took notice of their vote share and changed their own policies.

(and now the Greens are a hollowed out shitshow of joke thanks the EDI Vampire and The GenderBorg)

BordoisAgain · 29/03/2023 21:48

It would be awesome if other brave women could stand in other constituencies under the same banner.

I would be happy to contribute to any fund raising that would allow this

BordoisAgain · 29/03/2023 21:53

"The party of women will be launching after the coronation.

I can’t do this alone. You will join me as candidates. We intend to stand in as many UK constituencies and council seats etc as possible.

This party will be international, we will be launching in as many countries as possible.

More details to follow.

For the constituency of women, there is the Party Of Women. #POW"

Laladybird · 29/03/2023 21:54

Starmer's constituency is central North London, nearly as woke as Brighton. Big student population. She's one tough cookie.

Starmer, BBC, Guardian will do everything possible to ignore her. She'll need some imaginative stunts. I expect the price of billboards in Holborn and St Pancras just got a bit more expensive.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned Labour.

xabia · 29/03/2023 21:55

I just can't wait for this but I bet that KS will do absolutely anything to avoid standing up to her in a debate.

xabia · 29/03/2023 21:56

Love the name! # POW

Laladybird · 29/03/2023 22:02

PoW needs to focus on a few key seats, not spread itself too thin. The goal is to get the issue onto the news agenda. A tiny upstart party isn't going to win seats in FPTP.

xabia · 29/03/2023 22:06

@Laladybird
Agreed. Target just a few seats.
Guess this will be one women's space that TRAs aren't interested in!

BordoisAgain · 29/03/2023 22:09

Well if enough women want to stand and get enough nominations to support their candidacy I don't see why they should restrict them.

The aim is not to win seats but to get the message out there.

beastlyslumber · 29/03/2023 22:20

I'm seriously considering it. Anyone else?

SpicyMoth · 29/03/2023 22:25

I'm likely too poor to actually be able to help in any truly meaningful way like standing. As other's have said, I've heard it's expensive!
But I am a digital artist and I'd be more than willing to help on that type of front in any way I can!
#POW is already giving me Comic Book superhero vibes, and let's face it KJK is the real world Wonder Woman at this point.

Boiledbeetle · 29/03/2023 22:25

She is not going to let the media ignore her!. Not with that #POW

KJK vs Keir Starmer
ostipa · 29/03/2023 22:27

Keir Starmer has one of the biggest majorities of any MP, I doubt he will spend any time campaigning in his own constituency. He’ll be touring the Red Wall!

anyolddinosaur · 29/03/2023 22:27

Election leaflets have to be delivered to every home in the constituency, they cant easily silence her. I'm thinking of booking a hotel room to go out canvassing and I'm quite happy to chip in for the deposit and extra leaflets.

I dont want her to win - Labour have to have a leader, even if it's one with no backbone. I do want lots of people seeing the facts in election leaflets and asking the other canvassers lovely questions.

And I'll probably write the Womens Party in on my ballot and "vote" for them although there wont be a candidate here.

Brilliant. Go for it.

JanesLittleGirl · 29/03/2023 22:31

Now you're talking! KJK isn't going to provide the Starmer gotcha moment. We have to agitate in every constituency against any candidate who is trying to sell TWAM. She ain't gonna do it on her own.

OhVicIveFallen · 29/03/2023 22:44

Fluffymule · 29/03/2023 14:26

He has nobody but himself to blame for this.

KJK isn't running to win, she is running to show Starmer up for what he is.

He made his choice when he threw women, and children's safeguarding, under the bus. Because he decided it was the easiest option for him. That our rights, protections and dignity were lesser than a vocal cabal of identity ideologists and MRAs.

I think the twitter term that gets bandied around is 'welcome to the consequences of your actions'?

I believe twitter is also fond of "fuck around and find out". Quite apt for Starmer and his inability to give a ahit about women.

thebaneofmylifeisacat · 29/03/2023 22:49

She's bloody wonderful

EpicChaos · 29/03/2023 23:09

" I mean I would, but you know you can't go against the wishes of a cat. It's just impossible! "
That would be like taking your life in your hands @Boiledbeetle , just not worth the tortured existence you'd be made to suffer were you to go against orders. Those claws have hooks for good reason you know - maximum damage! lol :-D

@SpicyMoth Yeah, it's definitely not a cheap do. £500 deposit alone, then there's the cost of leaflets but we could crowd fund to help cover the costs incurred by Kellie and other women.
Standing for council is free iirc, but i could be wrong on that one, still got the cost of leaflets but not too bad if you're only in a small ward.

Sausagesandeggs · 29/03/2023 23:33

And what would the policies be? The Tories have the ‘protect women’s spaces’ angle covered as a direct counter to Labour’s bullshit. And they know it.

The Tories haven’t got a handle on the GenderBorg in schools at all - Gillian Keegan is useless.

It's a yes from me.

Any gardening going on ?
