Is the Trans shooter in Nashville Male or Female?

The murderer who came in and killed 3 children and 3 adults is trans and called Audrey, I am confused as to their biological sex.

This is deliberate bias, IMO. Creates an exaggerated impression of violence in women.

My thoughts

The misogynists want more women to be the baddies to hide their own misdemeanours.

School shootings aren't the only type of mass shootings.
The US has a massive gun problem but until they care about people as much as they care about business (NRA, arms sellers), it's going to keep happening. Same with their opiods crisis. The US legislate as though life is cheap and money is more important.
Condolences to all the families involved. I can't imagine their pain and loss.

Mentally ill people bombarded with messages that they are the most hated group and are in danger of genocide, and gun/knife imagery alongside slogans like kill terfs is only going to head one way.

I know that. It's terrible. But I misread the quote I quoted as being about school shootings. Only 13 of those I think!

There are texts released where Audrey texted a close friend before the shootings and told them something bad was about to happen and she was going to die and just wanted to say bye and thank them for being a great person. She signs her texts Audrey (Aiden) and the friend calls her Audrey in her responses.

Not all transpeople are out all the time - it seems she was still mostly using Audrey and she / her but also sometimes using Aiden and he / him.

Last night it was "she" when it was thought they were a biological male. This morning it's still "she" now that they know this is a biological male. Exhausting.
Anyway, aside from the trans bullshit. What has to happen for Americans to make a change. That's not even a question. As usual they'll wail and wonder how this happens. BECAUSE YOU'VE FLOODED YOUR COUNTRY WITH GUNS AND THERE IS NO GOING BACK.

To be fair, it's tricky for the media. If someone is wearing a pretty skirt, or pink leggings, then it's very obvious to everyone they are a "she". But how can anyone tell, if that person is wearing trousers? The essence of manhood is much harder to pin down than the essence of girlhood.

I’m still none the wiser as to whether this shooter is man or a woman. I assume from the female name, press stating the shooter identified as trans, and the fact that this is such a male act, that the shooter is your common or garden biological male?

Looks like trans women are women but trans men are not men.

The shooter was biologically female and ID’s as trans with he/him pronouns. The Antiopdean Flightless Bird Plantation has some details. She apparently had a manifesto but not sure if that has been released. Tennessee has recently either proposed or enacted some “anti trans” laws which may possibly have motivated this. The school was a private Christian one which the shooter once attended. Three 9 year olds and 3 adults have been murdered.

Yep. I really feel like the media wouldn't habe dared to say it was a male shooter if the shooter was a transwoman.

The press have no qualms whatsoever about misgendering or deadnaming this person.
Ironic (or not) that when a woman commits a very typically male crime that they identify as male.
America should be deeply ashamed that it's March and they've already had something like 130 mass killings. Life is cheap.

Why does it matter?

The story here is the unimaginable tragedy of the loss of life and the wider questions it raises about gun laws in America.

She is a woman.

I am not sure if people are being deliberately obtuse or just posting without reading. There is no evidence they are deadnaming or misgendering her as she still used the name Audrey. Her social media was still under Audrey and she used the name Audrey in recent texts.

I am sure more information will come out soon but she was not living full time as Aidan and he/him or as a transman.
