Jesus fuck.

Children and teachers are being shot dead in their schools and the take here is the question around the birth sex of the perpetrator? Not the fact that unbalanced, angry people maybe shouldn't have ready access to lethal weapons?

No the take here is why is it so bloody difficult to get basic information such as the sex of the perpetrator from media reporting and the answer is gender ideology has so captured the media that we can’t get a straight answer. The media has been sold the lie that trans people are the most oppressed and can’t possibly ever be bad people that they don’t report basic truth.

And if they DO report the truth, that this was a woman, this highlights how quickly their capture goes when it’s a woman, but they are more than happy to keep referring to rapists as “she” FFS.

This is about how gender ideology and the media obfuscates the truth and has no boundaries in doing so, even if it relates to horrific events.

I can’t imagine how it must feel to send your children to school every day knowing that statistically there’s a reasonable chance a shooting might happen there. Here in the UK we don’t live with that fear.
Add to that, your state governor in Tennessee photographs himself and his kids holding guns for their official Christmas card.
I do think it’s relevant to discuss the fact the woman who shot these poor children, head teacher and two other adults identified as trans, she left a manifesto. News outlets are making the connection between their state recently banning hormone treatment for trans minors. They could just be speculating or have evidence in the manifesto.
On Twitter a hashtag of #transterrorism is trending. It’s full of comments about 4 shootings in the last 18 months being carried out by young people who identify as non binary or trans. It’s not dramatic to speculate that there could be a trend beginning where mentally ill youths caught up in the gender cult will carry out more shootings.
The MSM will either spin this as a reaction to policies that are trying to halt gender dysphoria treatment and push for more surgeries and cross sex hormones, or they will spin it the other way, more must be done to stop etc etc etc
Either way it’s putting the issue under the microscope, and not focusing on guns.
For me, I see a really messed up girl, who apparently was addicted to gaming, looks mentally ill in the photos I have seen and was perfect fodder for the scourge of our times, trans ideology.
As usual, innocent children are paying the price.

It might also be pertinent that this weekend a Trans Day of Retribution is planned in Washington. What a dreadful time to be a child.

MsJD · 28/03/2023 00:47

Also, nil school shootings by anyone of any gender in the UK. What is the point of this thread[

Myalternate · 28/03/2023 00:49

You send your precious children to school and never expect they might come to harm from anything more than a grazed knee. This murderous individual decides they have the right to take the lives of those babies and three of the people tasked with protecting them through the school day.

The mindset of that individual is rightly being questioned and if that means their questionable beliefs, we have a right to discuss it. If people don’t wish to discuss that aspect, then I would politely ask them to start a thread to offer their condolences to the families affected by this tragedy.

Kerfuffler · 28/03/2023 00:49

Dunblane, @MsJD ?

slamfightbrightlight · 28/03/2023 00:50

“Looks mentally ill” ?!

Dunblane

Boiledbeetle · 28/03/2023 00:53

On 13 March 1996, local man Thomas Hamilton shot dead 16 children and their teacher, Gwen Mayor, in Dunblane Primary School's gymnasium before killing himself. He used his licensed weapons and ammunition.

There is a memorial to the 17 victims in the local cemetery and a cenotaph in the cathedral. There are also stained glass windows in Church of the Holy Rude, St Blanes and Lecropt tempering the Children and their Teacher.

BreadInCaptivity · 28/03/2023 00:55

You what? How the hell would you know what the families are feeling or thinking?

You make assumptions about my own experiences of bereavement in this statement.

It's unique to everyone in respect of the manner of death and relationship with the deceased, but one thing I have come to learn through sad experience is that an important part of the grieving process is understanding the truth of what happened.

You are coming from a position of "it doesn't matter".

It does. It really, really does.

Abhannmor · 28/03/2023 00:59

Katypyee · 27/03/2023 23:26

The fact that the person who has done the shooting is allegedly a trans person is irrelevant. You really don't give up on the trans bashing on this website do you?

Depends whether and how much testosterone was involved surely? Messing with hormones is very dangerous.

TheBiologyStupid · 28/03/2023 01:00

lifeturnsonadime · 27/03/2023 23:28

Don't be so sure.

Have you listened to the Police Chief?

Indeed. According to The Guardian,

Drake [the* Nashville police chief] said Hale was a former student at the school. He also said Hale identified as transgender.*

Entry was gained by shooting through a door, Drake said, adding that maps had been drawn of the school, including entry points, and he said, “We have a manifesto, some writings that we’re going over.”

Asked if the suspect’s transgender identity had any bearing on the attack, Drake said “there was some theory to that [but] we’re investigating all the leads”.

MsJD · 28/03/2023 01:02

6 people are dead. How does gender identity come into this? Surely, the root of the problem is not trans ideology, but the availability of guns in that part of the world.

You're going to get the sex and gender ideology perspective on the sex and gender board.
If you don't like it, check out discussions - there's discussions with different focuses everywhere.

OneLongSmorgasbord · 28/03/2023 01:06

It's a current news story so of course, people are going to talk about it.
Like someone said up thread, if it were a right-wing MAGA Trump supporter there wouldn't be any complaint that it was being discussed. Why is that?

Redebs · 28/03/2023 01:08

Dunblane massacre perpetrator had a massive resentment towards authority after he was prevented from accessing young boys as a scout and boys club leader.

Just saying.

Messyhair321 · 27/03/2023 23:47

Whole the fuck is 'we'. You speak for yourself
Wake the hell up, women do crime. All genders do.
Christ the fact that you are still talking about yourself says it all

Woman is not a gender. No man who commits a crime should be included in female crime statistics. Crime reports should be accurate as to the sex of the Perpetrator and Victim.

I stopped discussing American school shootings when I realised after Sandy Hook that guns are more important to Americans than their own children’s safety. Because that epiphany really disturbed me.

MsJD · 28/03/2023 01:16

They trawl the internet for these stories. Anything that paints trans people in a bad light. It doesnt matter what source they use. Daily Mail, for example.

JaneJeffer · 28/03/2023 00:00

Kids died once again because the USA can’t get its shit together about gun control. Be fucking outraged about that, morons.
Fat lot of good outrage is. The USA doesn't want to change the law no matter how many children die. I'm not sure what people this side of the Atlantic can do about that.

The UK had one school shooting, in Dunblane. We sorted the law, pretty much. The US is such an outlier on this issue that it's difficult to believe that we share the same galaxy, yet alone planet.

Just very sad that people are so egocentric that they make the issue of murder & loss of precious life all about their agenda & try to weave an argument about gender identity. F'king get a grip on yourselves

Well, why are you on the Sex and Gender board, then?

Nobody is forcing you to be here, and there are other threads discussing the heartbreaking impact on this crime on the poor victims. Why don’t you go and post on one of those?

The fact that you heard about this crime and then chose to head over to the Sex and Gender board suggests that you, too, are choosing to make this into a sex/gender identity “issue.”

MsJD · 28/03/2023 01:22

Nobody is on the Sex and Gender board, per swe. This thread has popped up in trending.

Before the suspects identity was even released, the story was huge news - 3 9 year olds were killed at school. It's hardly an example of trawling desperately...

Wiccan · 28/03/2023 01:26

@Cailin66 agree . Shootings in the US will happen again next week /month/year . The attitude to guns will be pretty hard to change.

When you have video evidence from around the world that show some trans people and friends behaving in the most vicious and intimidating way, it’s hardly surprising to read news articles about it. It’s not as if they are particularly shy about broadcasting their thuggish behaviour.

133!!!!! I can't believe it!!! That is MENTAL. They need to get rid of those guns.

They won’t. It’s their constitutional right. The NRA have bought government. A parent can give a child under 18 a gun, but you have to be 21 to buy 🍷 or 🚬 . Some supermarkets sell guns, you pick it up while buying your bread and butter. They particularly like rifles and semi automatics.
