That's all I'm saying - Google is your friend and it's in the byline.

You obviously don't read much then there are loads but that is beside the point.

There were 4 female mass shooters, before today.

Loads of females shooting up kids in schools? Do tell.

Dodgeitornot · 28/03/2023 00:20

@Messyhair321 You seem to have a pretty good idea what they're thinking and feeling based on your responses.

BlessedKali · 28/03/2023 00:20

Its worth reporting all the posts where the poster is being aggressive/insulting.

BreadInCaptivity · 28/03/2023 00:16

Personally I think it's disrespectful to the victims and families that respect for the perpetrators gender identity is obfuscating the reporting of what has happened.

My heart goes out to all those bereaved and impacted and I think they have the right to know the sex of the person who committed this crime.

The faux outrage in response to asking this question is very telling.

Kindness to the families is supporting them to understand the truth of what happened to their loved ones and by whom.

Exactly.

DahliaMacNamara · 28/03/2023 00:21

Jesus fuck.

Children and teachers are being shot dead in their schools and the take here is the question around the birth sex of the perpetrator? Not the fact that unbalanced, angry people maybe shouldn't have ready access to lethal weapons?

Pallisers · 28/03/2023 00:21

I wondered the same about the testosterone, BlessedKali.

Female mass shooters are really rare in the US as compared to male mass shooters. Lots of references to this all day in mainstream newspapers.

Shelefttheweb · 28/03/2023 00:22

I actually agree it's irrelevant if they're trans.

Is it? How can you be so sure? Was their motivation totally separate from their belief in transideology? We’re they taking testosterone which we know raises the risk of violent crime being committed by women?

When you look at the mob that attacked KJK in NZ, the sign MSPs were happy to be photographed with, the professor at a US university being suspended today for calling for the murder of those he disagreed with, can we really be sure it is irrelevant if they’re trans?

Kerfuffler · 28/03/2023 00:22

Kerfuffler · 28/03/2023 00:18

There were 4 female mass shooters, before today.

Just to expand on that, there have been 133 mass shootings so far this year in the USA.

MushroomQueen · 28/03/2023 00:23

I just read on news a Transwoman and then describes as a female shooter. Horrific crime, USA and stupid gun laws killing more innocents but to use the word female, when it is a transwoman really pissed me off. It was a male shooter who identifies as a transwoman. Language matters, I don't get annoyed often but this riled me. Those poor families and children and adults. It is just awful

namitynamechange · 28/03/2023 00:24

Messyhair321 · 27/03/2023 23:56

So what? How is that relevant? It doesn't mean everyone has to agree with the authority view. People don't most of the time, except when it suits...eh. They might have an entirely different approach & view than the general public or anyone else. Why should everyone agree with that

Be honest now, if they had left behind a manifesto citing far right influences, or kiwi farms, or even old school anti-feminist types it would be open for discussion including from you.
The main issue is the fact that children were killed. But the 'Why" is always going to be asked as well.
And if more women than previously are doing this then that does matter - because its a new demographic.

BlessedKali · 28/03/2023 00:25

If it is uncovered that the motivation for this horrendous crime was something to do with trans ideology, then this has been a few days of stark insight into trans-ideology related agression and violence.

Of course I have no idea if this is, or isnt the case with regards to this crime, I am just going off what the sheriff has alluded to.

Dodgeitornot · 28/03/2023 00:26

You are only allowed to say this when it's the perpetrators religion or socioeconomic background that could play a part. Duh. This killer wrote a manifesto, yet it's still not enough. You can't make this up.

Pallisers · 28/03/2023 00:26

Children and teachers are being shot dead in their schools and the take here is the question around the birth sex of the perpetrator? Not the fact that unbalanced, angry people maybe shouldn't have ready access to lethal weapons?

That's a given. But nothing will change. If Sandyhook or Parkland won't change the attitude in the US, this tragic case certainly won't. you can discuss the colour of the shirt the perpetrator wore and it won't take away one thing from the reality that americans (I am one and live here) will continue to let this happen.

If this tragedy happened in any other country, then yeah, all we should be talking about is why the murderer had access to guns. That is now almost irrelevant in the US so knock yourselves out talking about any other aspect of the crime - the access to guns aspect will not change.

133!!!!! I can't believe it!!! That is MENTAL. They need to get rid of those guns.

The latest news is that it was a woman who identified as a man.

It's been roughly 1 mass shooting per day in the USA for years and years, so it appears 2023 is off to a record-breaking start. The only time there hasn't been a school shooting of late is when the schools were closed during the pandemic.

Boiledbeetle · 28/03/2023 00:31

This appears to be the shooter

Children are murdered and the first thing that comes into your head is ‘what biological sex was the shooter?’ Really?

This

monsteramunch · 28/03/2023 00:33

@Messyhair321

You obviously don't read much then there are loads but that is beside the point.

'Loads' of female mass shooters? 'Loads' of female school shooters?

Saying 'there are loads' doesn't make it true. It is statistically extremely rare for a mass / school shooter to be female. Vanishingly so.

What you've said, that 'there are loads', is a lie.

It's very odd to pretend otherwise.

Some data for you:

Most assailants in mass shootings in the United States are male, according to the Violence Projectt_, which maintains a national database of mass shootings dating to 1966.
In a data set of 172 mass shootings, which the group defines as involving four or more victims, only four assailants were women or girls. In two cases, women acted alongside a man.

BlessedKali · 28/03/2023 00:36

It is utterly bizarre that every single crime commited by a 'transwoman' is reported as by a woman, and this crime by a 'transman' is reported as... By a woman.

My inner conspiracy theorist, (who I enjoy a healthy yet skeptical dialogue with) wonders if there is an attempt to try to make the chasm between male and female crimes smaller, so as to diminish the need for female only spaces and prisons. If both sexes offend at the same rates then single sex provisions are less necessary.

The US will never get its shit together about guns.
Because criminals won't give them up in any kind of amnesty, normies don't want to be left defenseless against criminals, and they use guns for their hobbies.v
You might as well as UK citizens to give up kitchen knives.

And if you don't want to hear the sex and gender aspect if this appalling crime, get off the sex and gender board, would be my advice.
