Let’s move the general discussion about the New Zealand ‘Let Women Speak’ tour out of the thread set up to centre the women speaking at the Australian and New Zealand tours.

This was the live feed.

https://www.youtube.com/live/eDuy2Kx2HlI?feature=share

The event was over run by violent trans activists. Not only did they use the usual intimidation tactics, but also threw substances at Kellie Jay, the women and the security.

*Ah yes, more important to be left wing than actually want to protect women's and children's rights.

I recall having a heated debate on social media with a very well known, intelligent feminist who I greatly admire and who is impressively articulate - she told me that I could not be a feminist because I am not left wing.*

The left seem to become more and more intolerant of anything that is also not left. Since when is feminism only for left minded people? What ever happened to feminism is for all women, regardless of race, age, politics or religion? So women who are not left or left enough don't deserve sex based rights? No wonder most women don't call themselves feminists...

Left wing feminists are guilty of exactly the kind of identity politics which gave us TRA's and some of them seem to believe that man is an axis of oppression which can intersect with woman but not that conservative women can experience the same oppression as socialist women.

Given the way the, allegedly, left wing parties across the globe treat women's rights they can hardly lay the blame for up holding the patriarchy at the feet of conservative women.

Its hard to take that kind of feminism seriously.

I fear that women in NZ will only get rights back when white males who say they are males realise that white males who say they are not males are actually more powerful than them.

Not just in NZ. Thats the frightening thing.

BernardBlacksMolluscs · 25/03/2023 12:00

I struggle so much with the idea that it's better to be pure than to win

that's the mindset of people who never achieve anything

the means does not always justify the ends. but if your means are 'speaking to politicians with power and influence to try to get them to use those things to achieve your aims', then yeah, those means justify the ends

Abhannmor · 25/03/2023 12:01

I had a look at a NZ new site on YouTube and wrote a fairly bland post about it. Deleted . No clue why.

I did name the site and used the word t*s iirc. Will we have to resume using code words and images 🚉. Thought that day was done ?

Now is the time for the UK government to show how much they value women's rights.

As I say to media when I complain, what she’s advocating for, is the law in the UK. So NZ and its actual prime minister thinks that campaigning about existing uk laws is hateful and anti trans. Why won’t someone in the uk government respond to that?

Posie isn't going to NZ to impose anything on others, she provides a flatform for women to speak for themselves.

Our UK government and media should support behavior that promotes factually correct statements from politicians and the media internationally. A political slant I understand, outright lies on top of telling us men are women are ruining trust and truth.

So did Nelson Mandela, that’s why he worked with the men that had kept him in prison all those years, because the fight wasn’t just about him, it was about their whole country and unifying it. Imagine if he held the belief that he couldn’t work with people who had done bad things. We would still have apartheid.

And he would have died in prison instead of as a free man that had gone on to be president of his country.

Fuck being pure.

What I have found is that every time we have a very dark day in this fight, it is followed by a stronger dawning of sunlight. Take heart. We are all with you. xxx

Agree with Arabella here. This will go a long way to show the world what we have been saying about this ideology for years. I doubt many will suddenly become TRAs. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if this turns a few TRAs the other way,

howmanybicycles · 25/03/2023 12:11

These guys are just violent supermacists and no-one should pretend otherwise. I'm sure there are some trans women who are not like this. Sadly, they are not currently the most vocal ones.

Whaeanui · 25/03/2023 12:14

There are definitely trans people that don’t support any of this! I know some in NZ.

Pixiedust1234 · 25/03/2023 12:17

Out of interest have any arrests been made? With so many videos and photos surely they are able to identify at least on violent protester?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 25/03/2023 12:21

I would hope that whoever punched the 70 year old woman so hard that he might have permanently damaged her eyesight might be identified or turned in by his little friends. Hope springs eternal. Or the man who made sexual gestures to a little girl.

I was so upset last night and first thing this morning, especially dealing with a racist here to boot. But women, I have had messages from home from people, lots of men, who I’ve never discussed this with who are asking me if I know of this woman, what the hell is wrong with the media, they’ve seen footage on twitter and are disgusted… they’ve started to see the light with nz media before this- sports media are pretty awful too- so I actually feel more hopeful even though I’m so very sad and worried for the women at the event who were scared.

Yes, I think this mirrors the experiences elsewhere.

There's a brief moment where violent men are emboldened by the actions of their fellow misogynists and they all surge together to scream at women. Just look at Twitter. Men absolutely bloody delighted with what's happening to women in New Zealand and Australia, and getting their two penn'orth in as quickly as possible.

It was the same on here. TRAs rushing on threads to nail the violence home.

They look for it, they're alive to it, they jump on opportunities to exploit.

But normal people do not. And when they see it, they react. And the fact that they are WTF about it, is really encouraging. The shock. The shock is what doesn't go away. And it's the feeling that generates the determination to find out more.

And, we know from experience, that that is the beginning of the end.

Look at that first poster saying it's lies!

They're even shocking their own allies.

Fortunately the evidence is manifold.

beastlyslumber · 25/03/2023 12:32

It is shocking and sickening and KJK is 100% right to point a finger at the Real Feminists for their bullying and misinformation. I hope that this will be the end of AGCL and WPUK. They need to disband and consider their aims and values before trying to organise anything in future. I know they won't do that! But I think they'll be hard pressed to find any new support after this shitshow.

@FOJN That’s terrible but not surprising is it.

Clymene · 25/03/2023 12:47

She may as well have just typed 'she asked for it'.

Vile.

raspberrywine · 25/03/2023 12:48

I am so glad JKR has retweeted some of the footage. That Maya and Helen have shown support too.

I am fucking furious at what happened in NZ. Absolutely furious with our msm for reporting this.
