IMHO This was profoundly disrespectful to the OP, @ZombieMumEB, who said she hoped to attend some of the events, to Mumsnetters (particularly Australians and New Zealanders) who wanted to discuss the speeches and to the brave, articulate and impassioned women who gave the speeches.

This thread is to discuss the WOMEN SPEAKING.

Please direct complaints about KJK to one of the perennial "We hate Posie" threads.

If you are a UK socfem with a genuine interest in discussing the socfem approach to re-educating the Labour Party, ie. rather than complaining about KJK, start a new thread. This one is about and for the women in Australia and New Zealand who spoke at the #LetWomenSpeak events

Yes, she is responsible for people thinking she's far-right adjacent because of the way she's been courting them.

I think @gwrachod has a point.

We know Posie has shared platforms with / associated with / worked with (however you want to phrase it) those on the far right before - Proud Boys, Heart of Oak etc. This has been widely discussed on here.

So in addition to the TRAs turning up to protest at her events because they think she's transphobic, you get the Antifa as well because they think she's far right.

And because you get the Antifa turning up you get MORE far-right protestors spoiling for a fight.

And on and on it goes. And you end up with two groups of horrible violent men shouting at each other and the media focusing on all the drama and violence (which sells papers) while ignoring the entire actual LWS event, which gets fewer and fewer women turning up because in all honesty most women aren't going to want to put themselves in the middle of two groups of angry men.

Actually she is courting people. Women, to speak.

Some people really don't like that though.

Stop Rewriting Events.

There weren't any far-right protestors. The trans activists are boasting about having taken over the rotunda, and they are giving speeches there now. No-one is interfering.

The far right turned up last time. Regardless of whether they turned up this time (as you know, they didn't, as it happens), many of the huge crowd of people there today will have turned out to stand against fascism.

The presence of fascists (actual or perceived) mobilises people to turn up to stand against them.

Here is one of the organisers using the presence of the neo nazis the other day to mobilise people for the Auckland protest.

Lets be absolutely clear about how this started.

With all due respect for KJK (and even more so tonight) she could have spent years doing smallish open events for women. And probably gained (quite rightly) a lot of praise for helping women speak out.

But until AND ONLY THEN that left "feminists" started berating her on social media and their web sites, assuming they had the right to school her thinking, did a larger group of people, not just TRAs but the infantile male left that is all about performance and not substance, start to take notice.

And what did the left "feminists" do to get these misogynists' attention? The crass use of the smear nazi. Based on nothing more than the fact KJK didn't kowtow to their self presumed superiority.
