IMHO This was profoundly disrespectful to the OP, @ZombieMumEB, who said she hoped to attend some of the events, to Mumsnetters (particularly Australians and New Zealanders) who wanted to discuss the speeches and to the brave, articulate and impassioned women who gave the speeches.

This thread is to discuss the WOMEN SPEAKING.

Please direct complaints about KJK to one of the perennial "We hate Posie" threads.

If you are a UK socfem with a genuine interest in discussing the socfem approach to re-educating the Labour Party, ie. rather than complaining about KJK, start a new thread. This one is about and for the women in Australia and New Zealand who spoke at the #LetWomenSpeak events

The footage of KJK being attacked was the first thing I saw when I opened Twitter this morning and I honestly thought I was seeing her being murdered.

What HoO lies? Do I have to pull out the screenshots of their livestream to prove they were there? Or their content to prove they're far right? Or images of the event to prove they were front row?

All this deflection is nonsense. Most political campaigns have no issue with telling the far right to fuck off, in no uncertain terms. Why does KJK only do it when forced to, as she needed to get let into NZ? What is her problem with telling the far right to do one? Eh? Many women have been campaigning in this arena for several years. At one point there weren't nearly as many involved and most very active women knew each other - either from actively campaigning together or simply being in the same place at the same time.

No one wishes her harm, FFS. Many who know her wish she wasn't such a toxic self publicist who's putting her followers at risk.

What did the events in NZ have to do with the far right?

Those were trans rights activists and their allies some of whom were getting off on the fact that women are being attacked for trying to speak.

The only people making a link between KJK and the far right are the likes of you. People like you are responsible for the baying mob not KJK who has denounced the far right, we all know that, you know that, but you continue to lie.

It was worth it, because I wouldn’t have known quite how urgent things are in NZ if she hadn’t braved it.
