I don't see how anyone can be 'educated' to agree with ideas that are absurd. One can be forced to comply - not the same thing.

Yeah, I mean, I would see myself as a middle class leftie and I even studied the likes of Foucault in college. But I think that everyone can be subject to social pressure. Nobody likes to stand out as the person who doesn't get it. I'm fortunate in that I don't work in the area I would have expected to work in, so I think I'm insulated from having to go along or risk my job and relationships.

What gets me is the arrogance of presupposing that people haven't looked into this or done their research. Especially when the side that has supposedly educated themselves could not/refused to forsee that prisons, changing rooms etc would be an issue.

I emailed my local td last night re Rory's woman hating tweets & about the rise & power of trans groups oppressing women.
He replied this morning looking for my postal address why would he need this?

If I contact my Senedd member or MP I have to give my postal address so they know I'm a constituent. I don't know whether the same requirement applies in Ireland.

When will those in power look around the table when these topics come up for discussion and see that their discussion cannot represent the opinions of the people unless it fairly and equally represents the people.

So why last week was he of the opinion that BK shouldn't be in a womens prison. If BK was a woman no one would be asking whether the right place was a womens prison.

Men are seen all the time as a threat to children or women. If a woman is walking behind me at night I'm not scared, if I see a woman without children in a park I don't think shes up to something.

They messed up with the GRA, there are no safeguards in it. Women were dismissed as hysterical for suggesting anything of the sort at the time of its drafting. They had a full committee recommend a sensible law as we were required by the ECHR after the Foy decision and they threw it out and went with what the activists wanted without any proper debate and this is the mess they've made.

Yes, if it's the same as it is in Scotland you can just give your postcode if you don't want to give your full address- although comms between representative and constituents should be confidential and there should be no reason to be concerned about sharing addresses.

Not being twelve I don't 'hate' anything, but I am beyond all patience with women being targeted and getting their skills broken and liquid thrown at them with plans to make it acid on the grounds that saying 'we have rights in law' is a threat to some fantastically misogynist men.

Dublin Let Women Speak event scheduled for 15th April is now postponed due to safety concerns.
