Should prove interesting if he wins the leadership contest and tries to pursue the GRR through court.

'Isla Bryson should not have been in a women's prison ... Isla Bryson is a rapist who is completely at it; I don't think they're a genuine transwoman, I think they're trying to play the system'.

Look, if I take the post of first minister, about two thirds of the SNP are going to be in detention until about 2025....

Yes, but is there a the downside?

OP posts:
ArabellaScott · 16/03/2023 12:50

I think Mridhul Wadhwa is 'at it'.

It's a Scottish phrase, I assume. As an English person, I initially took it to mean the On the Buses meaning, but realised immediately that wasn't it.

WontTheRealSlimSheldyPlsFuckoff · 16/03/2023 13:46

Aye. Me tae Arabella

I've been disappointed that nobody has confronted him publicly with the child abductor and rapist from the borders - such an open goal.

We can’t at the moment as it’s an ongoing investigation.

ThomasinaLivesHere · 16/03/2023 13:50

It is bizarre he uses ‘they’ while basically saying Isla is a man. If Isla is “at it” then called him a him. I don’t know what’s going on in his head.

Dawn Butler?

The even dimmer spawn of Dawn Butler and Dianne Abbott?!

Not much, I suspect.

Oh, you don't have 'at it' in England?

I can hear 'He's at it' in a cockney accent, am I imagining it?! IDK what the 'on the buses' meaning is ...

In Scotland, it means 'putting it on' or 'having you on' or 'pretending' or 'taking the mickey' or 'taking the piss'.

Schrödinger's politician existing in multiple states simultaneously

Indeed. The perfect illustration of the cognitive dissonance that gender identity ideology er... engenders.

Chersfrozenface · 16/03/2023 14:15

"at it" according to the dictionaries means engaging in something reprehensible "the council / government are at it again".

It often has a sexual connotation in my mind, though. Particularly "at it like knives".

TheBiologyStupid · 16/03/2023 14:17

According to Macmillan:

If someone is at it, they are doing something that you do not approve of:

He’s at it again, trying to cheat the customers.

www.macmillandictionary.com/dictionary/british/be-at-it

ArabellaScott · 16/03/2023 14:25

Hm, I would say that example of 'at it again' is modified by the 'again'.

'At it' on its own, in my experience, means deception.

DP says: 'Total chancers, fully aware that they're a chancer.'

Absolutely no connotation of sex in the Scottish usage!

OP posts:
ArabellaScott · 16/03/2023 14:26

I did NOT realise that 'At it' was a Scottish phrase. Apologies for this, or I'd have provided more context in the OP!

Actually I didn't realise either but I am not Scottish, although have lived in Scotland for more than half my life. Perhaps it is time for me to start identifying as Scottish ... does that get me access to a nicer prison or anything?

ValancyRedfern · 16/03/2023 14:36

To me 'at it' mean having sex. Was very confused by this thread at first!

@ArabellaScott 😂Seems fair.

I see no difference between Yousaf and Bryson, two misogynists who enact their violence against women in different ways.

I would love to know what Labour think of the SNP leadership election.

On one hand Humza is TWAW (unless they are 'at it' obviously 😂) which means it is the same old centre left SNP with a layer of TRA's - i.e. a bit like Labour but with added Independence.

On the other hand if either Ash or Kate win, the SNP will not be entertaining the TRA's but will still be a centre left inde party that will now have a lot more appeal to all those who won't vote Labour because of their TWAW.

Labour need Scottish votes to win a GE. If Humza wins Labour can't compete because they haven't been able to in the last 2 GE's and if either Kate or Ash wins they can't compete either because it will be TWAW vs TWANW.

Maybe this is why recently Labour have started to try and appear like they do care about womens votes after all?

Labour don't need Scottish votes, as explained here: wingsoverscotland.com/why-labour-doesnt-need-scotland/
But maybe they don't read Wings.

Well that meaning fits in too, you know sending a double rapist to a women's prison. He'll be "at it" 24/7.

TheBiologyStupid · 16/03/2023 17:22

SNP membership figures just released - 72,000 - down by 30,000 in the last two years. Interesting!

By 'above the radar' I refer to posting 'silly billies in Westminster messing with Scottish Transgender issues' on FB.
