Most stupid centring of men on national women's day

What's the most stupid centring of men you've seen on national women's day. This particularly annoyed me as it is literally centering men with both the messaging and the framing of the male individual.

I haven't got the guts to tell the person that posted it on social media they're an idiot, so will have to content myself with venting here.

It's particularly depressing because she's a bloody teacher and supposedly an intelligent person.

To be fair, I'm not immune to ignorance. The first time I heard the word bigotry was in Harry Potter when Hermione is talking about how wizards hate giants. In my young mind I made the link big/bigotry and thus assumed it was a term to describe hatred of people of height like Hagrid.

It took a few years and a red face to realise I had oversimplified a tad.

Something else to blame Rowling for though, eh?

It feels like organisations are now too scared to give awards and accolades to ACTUAL women, for fear of the TRA WRATH that will inevitably ensue as a result of daring not to centre men. So yet again, women are collateral damage.

You forgot the fairy dust, which in this case must be derived from their own x chromosomes, duplicating and inserting onto the end of their damaged y.
It most have been a shock to discover that it wasn't we who were incomplete with no dangly bits , but them without some vital DNA,
Funny I haven't seen any of this new science in New Scientist.

Just because you quit learning in 8th grade, doesn't mean biology end at the 8th grade level hun.

Does this mean you're going to spout that American Scientist article about xxy/xxx/xyy etc etc chromosomes in the hope of convincing us that 'biological sex is complicated', when in fact, what that article does, is explain that disorders of sex development sometimes cause a 'glitch in the matrix' in males and females, often with life limiting consequences, but in actual fact, is nut evidence of any other sex, besides male or female.

Humans are sexually dimorphic. Even humans who are unable to reproduce are not evidence of a third sex. Women are adult human females who are born with the potential to conceive and gestate offspring. Males are not.

That is the biological reality of human beings,

Everything else is personality, fashion or fetish.

I, for one, am looking forward to @ElonsMusky ’s explanations. It’s time to end our oppression by gamete dimorphism! All hall the new trans science!

Not quite the same horror but struggling a bit to diplomatically ignore the social media post of a colleague saying that on IWD she’s saying thanks to all the awesome colleagues, allies and mentors who’ve helped her career and listing 20 odd blokes 0 women. Erm ….

I’m still waiting for someone to explain, without using regressive gender stereotypes, how you live as a woman. Will @ElonsMusky cover this in the science webinar? Can’t wait!
