This world has well and truly gone mad !!!

Myalternate · 23/02/2023 14:32

Do women who think they’re men and take testosterone, continue to have periods?

unclebuck · 23/02/2023 14:32

Ooooo they've popped a shirt on! I wonder if that is due to MN complaints 😂

Walrussy · 23/02/2023 14:38

"This gender-affirming style can be worn and loved by all people who menstruate."

It's gender-affirming to any gender then? Doesn't that kind of contradict itself?

Pixiedust1234 · 23/02/2023 14:38

For: Light to moderate periods or discharge, on those days you want to wear a packer.

Wtf is a packer??

Just to warn you that if you click on the link you'll end up getting adverts for them on Mumsnet!

DobbyTheHouseElk · 23/02/2023 14:41

That’s why I won’t buy anything from that company. Really there are no words.

CharlotteOwlFace · 23/02/2023 14:46

Between them and the equally hideous snag tights , I'm lost for words tbh

IcakethereforeIam · 23/02/2023 14:47

They're ugly and expensive, real granny knickers. Imo.

Yes, I'm now getting ads. I hope MN is going to get some money off them.

ReadersD1gest · 23/02/2023 14:53

What on God's green earth is a pair of gender affirming period pants? 😵‍💫
Isn't the fact that you're actually having a period enough of a clue that you're a biological woman?
What a bloody world we're living in (no pun intended).

nobodysdaughter · 23/02/2023 14:54

I think this kind of thing is soon going to become deeply unfashionable. That has got to be the worlds naffest advert hasn't it? Really cringe.

I can confirm. 👉

DobbyTheHouseElk · 23/02/2023 15:03

I can’t image they sell many. Must be awfully confusing have a period and trying to fit your fake Willy in your pants at the same time.

ArabellaScott · 23/02/2023 15:07

Wouldn't you end up getting blood all over the codpiece?

MyriadOfTravels · 23/02/2023 15:07

I clicked the link and thought 'oh this is a reusable incontince pants for men'. That's nice for them.

And then realised the size are women size and its supposed to be for women Confused

I am sure I am not the only one who didn't think this product would be for them.

Yes. Made in child sizes as well. Envy

Walrussy · 23/02/2023 15:09

I think the most striking thing about this advert is how a bit of facial hair really doesn't disguise female facial features.

dimorphism · 23/02/2023 15:10

I think normalising the need to wear a 'packer' to women and girls is absolutely abhorrent.

Why on earth would anyone do this? Especially during their period, surely it can only make things worse? It seems incredibly mentally unhealthy and possibly also physically unhealthy, particularly if they're also implying they agree with binders or radical surgery on healthy bodies.

Can anyone recommend an alternative period pants company?

DialSquare · 23/02/2023 15:11

I bet that's a sentence you never thought you'd type. Even in these strange times!

dimorphism · 23/02/2023 15:12

I hope they go bust. I've bought period pants from them before. Never again and the ones I have are going in the bin. They're rubbish anyway, they don't last very long in my experience.

Athlebad · 23/02/2023 15:13

What's the problem?! Why shouldn't someone who was born a woman and menstruates, but identifies as male and wants to live as that gender, be able to buy a product that accomodates that? Live and let live, it's not causing you any problem, it's just making life a bit more managable and enjoyable for others...

TobeLeRone · 23/02/2023 15:14

Tbh I’m not sure I blame clothes companies, it’s a potential market, and if they don’t appease the TRAs they face bullying.
