In answer to your question, I’m over seventy. That means I can remember when there were no synthetic hormones to enable people to interfere with their natural systems, and often incur lifelong physical health problems as a result. I can also remember when the concept of cutting off perfectly healthy and functioning body parts would have been regarded as outrageous and probably criminal. I suppose my age group are a lot nearer the memory of Mengele (my godfather was in one of the liberating brigades which was first into one of the experimental camps ).
As for the illustration, why should you think it is any sort of ‘funny’? The pp asked what a packer is. I showed them, since a picture is worth a thousand words. I personally don’t think it is funny at all. My heart bleeds for these poor girls.
