Helloprint has suddenly refused to supply stickers to Kellie-Jay Keen

The main source to this story is the Daily Mail:

The firm also made a T-shirt designed by Ms Keen and worn by JK Rowling which described First Minister Nicola Sturgeon as a 'Destroyer of women's rights' over the controversial Gender Recognition Act.

But now the company - who has accepted £75,000 of orders from the cause - now says they are 'offensive material'.

Well, I got my first C you next Tuesday in the aibu thread the other day. When things weren't going well for one poster arguing with us.

I'm sure that was to the aibu readers who haven't made it as far as the fwr board a quick show of who is on the right side of history! Then in quick succession he insulted all the other posters who disagreed with him. Hence the sea of deletions the other afternoon!

I missed that. Sorry to hear someone abused you boiled. Flowers

😂 maybe it’s time you put on your big by pants buttercup. Women are not responsible for male violence, and neither are fucking stickers!!

I do have to laugh at the false outrage at property being defaced. In the Meadows in Edinburgh, there are pro trans (anti women) stickers everywhere. I don't think Margey's berating the people who put up those stickers for the crime of defacing property.

And as for 'fear against transpeople', women have been arrested for putting up stickers stating domestic abuse statistics, but a 'decapitate TERFS' sign is apparently A-OK.

Cherry60 · 04/02/2023 11:32

Seems like a really stupid gesture that costs them and in no way will stop KJK. Stickers and t-shirts aren't that difficult to make, she could probably set up a business herself.

Baldieheid · 04/02/2023 11:38

I think it's got the potential to be a poor decision commercially, but its their business and their choice.

I don't want a world where a firm is forced to do business, against their will. I run my own business. I want the right to turn away projects I don't want to do and people I don't want to work with.

Otherwise, 20 or so years ago, I'd have had to work with a sexual fetishist on his range of adult sex nappies and harnesses, despite my revulsion.

xeraco · 04/02/2023 11:46

I must say it's good to see so many posters coming over here from AIBU and slowly getting it.

landOFconfusion · 04/02/2023 11:54

Good to see the Daily Mail are doing their best to promote Mosley Parker.

Oh you know me water off a ducks back. But it was one of the rare occasions i pressed report. A couple of minutes later there was an e-mail from mumsnet apologising that they are doing a to all email as they'd had mass reporting.

It's nice too know we have each others back!

But it's just another type of flounce

Some run out of coherent arguments and do a disparaging post and flounce.

Some run out the door insulting as many as possible on their way and he went for quite a few posters in a flurry of posts.

picklemewalnuts · 04/02/2023 11:55

Thanks for the chocolate @Boiledbeetle ! It goes down very nicely.

Sweetens the taste of some of the mealy mouthed 'if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all' stuff!

I'm really happy for hellopriint to nail their colours to the mast. It brings the debate to the front, just as the gay cake issue did. I'm happy to live in a country where people can tell me they don't approve of gay marriage. I'd rather know.

Free speech is great. It's just a shame that there are people who simply can't hear and process unexpected information- like 'No'.

I taught a little boy, many years ago, who was always shocked to be told off. His very loving parents had distilled in him the belief that he was a 'very good boy'. When he did something he'd been told he shouldn't, he simply couldn't grasp that he'd therefore done something wrong.

To be fair he was just 4. These clowns should have grown up, by now.

'You aren't a woman, you're a very naughty boy!' Sorry, Monty Python.

I'm being nice and assuming they made a spelling mistake there. It's bloody autofuckwit, mine has a mind of its own!

I have a suspicion that TRA's have decided that Mosley kind of rhymes with Posie and are making a rather tragic pun to call Posie a fascist.

TheABC · 04/02/2023 12:27

When people say "it's both sides," either they are not paying attention to the debate or they are uncomfortable with women saying "no."

A lot of posters on this thread have been wading through this shit for years. Asking politely doesn't work. We've already tried it.

Florissant · 04/02/2023 12:42

Mallairígh · 04/02/2023 09:18

There's plenty of stickers with many different messages defacing property. Will they refuse to print stickers in future to prevent this risk?

The rest of your post is bollocks.

To be precise, all of MargaritaPie's posts are bollocks. Seems a shame to single out just the one.

Florissant · 04/02/2023 12:52

turbonerd · 04/02/2023 11:23

Those stickers simply have a factual sentence on them:
in order to be a trans woman you have to, by definition, be a biological male.
Biological males all have a penis each, and most of those who decide they want to «transition» retain their penis.

If you are a woman, you are just that: a woman. Women do not have a penis and have been female from conception.

I am not sure how this can be said differently to be honest. I can try it in French, if you like?

Given who the post is addressed to words of one syllable would be more useful than a foreign language.

BlackForestCake · 04/02/2023 12:57

Might be something to do with the fact KJK's stickers are being primarily used to deface public property?

Well, no, it can't be that because when we book billboards perfectly legally you try to get those taken down too.

Mallairígh · 04/02/2023 13:18

I'm going to go and deface some public property today with kjk stickers. Literal violence. Against buildings. And all who walk next to them.

queencactus · 04/02/2023 13:38

Is there any evidence at all that stickers incite children or adults to violence as claimed by that US article? Or is this just another falsehood that the TRAs have repeated so often that people assume it is true? Other examples being "most marginalised" and claims about high trans murder rates in the UK.

onlytherain · 04/02/2023 13:42

@BleepBipBoop
I agree with you in that not every post ever written by women's rights activists about this topic has been polite, unemotional and to the point. However, that is normal in public debates. Mind you, I am not saying it is good, just that it is nothing unusual.

However, trans activists regularly threaten women with violence, rape and murder. That is not normal in public debates, and it is unacceptable. They are actively trying to create an atmosphere of fear in order to stifle debate. Trans activists have prevented women from attending film screenings, from moving freely in public spaces and from speaking about their concerns and experiences. They keep on making any public debate about these issues very difficult or even impossible. You can find a lot of evidence for that online. Many trans activists actions are anti free speech and, ultimately, anti democracy. None of which is true for the goals or actions of women's rights activists.

BTW I also understood the original poster to have refered to the Twitter thread, not to your post.

These are the stickers.

Notice how they have nothing about trans people on. Yet a trans activist has tried to obscure them with trans flag stickers.

A lot of you seem to be trying to make this out to be a man v woman thing. It is not. Gender criticals are both men and women, and LGBT supporters are also both men, women and teens of both sexes.

What is clear as mentioned before is GC's are overwhelmingly the older generations.

OneLongSmorgasbord · 04/02/2023 13:49

Helleofabore · 04/02/2023 11:26

”Could not make this shit up. Stickers are a worse harassment than shouting at people.”

Remember when a poster on this thread told us on the WiSpa thread that it was more egregious that the woman complaining was in her robe and naked underneath in the public lobby than a sex offender with a semi aroused cock entered a spa bath directly in front of a nine year old girl?

I remember that clearly. There are unfortunately some posters who will make those comparisons. And Marg is not alone.

Yep, that poster seems to think they hold some sort of moral high ground but as they have a particularly noticeable posting style I can recognise them a mile off and remember some of the offensive shit they've posted.

Are they? As people either die or get older, that doesn't bode well for you, does it?

I was a TRA when I was 18 too. Grew out of it. What's your excuse?

MargaritaPie · 04/02/2023 13:56

"We're raising our daughters to carry the baton when we're gone, tough tit"

I'm sure they'll make their own minds up, the same as everyone else will. In a generation or two they may decide to support LGBT rights after all when they realize gender criticals are a thing of the past and almost non-existent.

btw there has been some good news from Finland recently:
