Let alone of a ‘gang’. A known ‘ring’, yes. Did they operate as a ‘gang’? And were they anything near the size of the 40+ group? And that was just those able to be prosecuted!

I am genuinely not sure what your point is. You want all paedophile rings or groups labelled gangs’ even if they didn’t operate like a gang?
Have you got any other examples from here in the UK of large high groups that should have been called grooming gangs and weren’t? What were they called instead?
I am quite confused why you are making a point about the description of these abhorrent males being labelled as being in a ‘grooming gang’. And why you seem to be attempting to silence discussion about how they were able to operate and remain able to for so long by calling that discussion racist.
But again, you are providing a live demonstration of just how those men were able to remain uninvestigated for so long because of fear of being called racist. You are throwing out the ‘racist’ accusations liberally in your deep prejudice against people posting on this board which has been apparent from your entry into this discussion.
Isn’t using those girls and young women’s trauma as a gotcha in your prejudice rather showing your behaviour for what it is? You are not here making arguments for stronger safeguarding you are here using their trauma to shame a group of people on the internet.
The entire point of the discussion is ‘no groups should ever be exempt from strong safeguarding procedures and investigations of harm against vulnerable people’.
Regardless of that group’s race, religion or occupation.
