This thread is a headfuck as an outsider. So much energy and time, and on what? I have long wanted to get involved in politics and feminism but this really puts me off. I was surprised by the statement put out before the Brighton event and it puts me off attending the Brighton group. But I also don't understand so much energy going into this back and forward debate. For what? To win the argument. It feels so very far removed from real life.

Happylittlechicken · 25/11/2022 19:10

For some reason people were desperate to stir the pot in Brighton before the SFW event. This journalist friend of KJK was messaging TRAs inviting them to come along and make videos. She obviously wanted the TRAs to cause maximum carnage in Brighton to make a good story.

I think these people forget there are some of us who have to live here and we are the ones having to deal with the aftermath.

so this wasn’t you @SapphosRock ? Really?

Yes the JOURNALIST was stirring the pot, not KJK.

LexMitior · 25/11/2022 19:15

Yes it is a mess but I think people need to reflect on the implications of what is being said. Some of it paranoid and baseless, and all published here.

Conspiracy to violence, maximum carnage, public order, on the basis of a voluntary interview. Absurd

Happylittlechicken · 25/11/2022 19:16

Uh huh. The ‘journalist friend’? As you said. You have no evidence they were friends but were happy to try and implicate KJK in that shitshow. You seem very keen to castigate .KJK for who she associates with, but don’t seem to like it when you are called out for your associations. Maybe the pot should not call the kettle brunt arse

Oh God I know. I'm relieved it's nearly full so I can see the back of it.

LexMitior · 25/11/2022 19:18

@SapphosRock - it's published on the internet. Don't imagine your clarifying posts count.

You don't have any direct evidence to support your assertions which is concerning.

I bet you are. It’s not nice when people point out your gaslighting is it?

So much energy in debunking lies being spread about KJK, one of the most effective campaigners for women's rights in the fight against TRAs. HTH.

MoirasSaggyBundles · 25/11/2022 19:22

SapphosRock · 25/11/2022 19:14

Yes the JOURNALIST was stirring the pot, not KJK.

Then why associate KJK with this person with your spurious assertion of a friendship?

TinselAngel · 25/11/2022 19:23

Oh God I know. I'm relieved it's nearly full so I can see the back of it.
You've kept it going by posting fresh bollocks every time it's looked like dying down!

MoirasSaggyBundles · 25/11/2022 19:41

Exactly, @TinselAngel Sapphos post about the journalist "friend" of KJK was posted apropos of nothing, after her previous post stating: bullying, harassment and lies? I'm not the one doing that.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 25/11/2022 19:50

Oh God I know. I'm relieved it's nearly full so I can see the back of it.

Oh come on. I really can't imagine what you think you're achieving here.

SapphosRock · 25/11/2022 19:54

Whether the journalist was a friend of KJK or not is totally irrelevant. People are focusing on that to try and detract attention away from what I was actually saying.

A journalist was messaging TRAs prior to the event to try and galvanise them and cause even more of a ruckus. That behavior from the JOURNALIST is shady AF and deserves a bit of sunlight.

Happylittlechicken · 25/11/2022 19:59

Yes it does @SapphosRock so why did you call her a friend of KJK? Were you just making things up to try to make @KJK look bad? Why do you hate her so much, but are happy to support Brighton feminists who have admitted they are working with TRAs?

MoirasSaggyBundles · 25/11/2022 20:00

Whether the journalist was a friend of KJK or not is totally irrelevant.

YOU made it relevant! Do you not see that stating that this person is KJK's friend, and that she deliberately invited TRAs to a KJK's Brighton event; and also that she has taken pictures at a private KJK event, again implying a friendship, because you don't see why the journo would be there otherwise, discredits KJK and makes it look like she is deliberately stirring up trouble using agent provocateurs?

TinselAngel · 25/11/2022 20:11

I don't understand why we're supposed to be surprised that a journalist might try and stir up trouble to get a story? Maybe I'm just a terrible cynic.

No. There is no evidence being provided.

But that has been the same throughout this entire thread.

Accusations that are handwaved away as ‘disagreements’ and the complete fucking denial that the sin page is bullying.

For new comers to the thread, if you read through this thread you will absolutely see why people keep questioning the motives of other posters. I would suggest instead of accusing posters of ‘head girl’ behaviour, maybe read the thread to understand the level of frustration posters are feeling at the seeming constant denial of the actions and motivations of a small group of women in leadership positions in both WPUK and Brighton Feminists who also then post on the Facebook page Actual Gender Critical Left.

Once you work out who is who, you see a pattern of bullying behaviour towards Kellie Jay. There are several posts to the ‘sin page’. I was linking it every couple of pages at one stage so people could keep up.

Shinyredbicycle · 25/11/2022 20:16

Also for newcomers, if you're interested in discussing substantial issues like utilising of hate crime legislation to persecute women, this might not be the place for you.

If insular gossip about FB groups, pages of sin, 'Brighton feminists' and sweeping generalisations about other women, feminist groups and feminists is your thing - fill your boots.

Ok taking out the "friend of" bit
So what if a journo was trying to cause a ruckus?
Not like it's never happened previously. And I dont mean with this particular journo, I mean any journo looking for a story/trying to create a story. I mean its weird for sure, but not unusual.
And?

Gosh you've got some front.

There are other threads about women being arrested, many of them in fact and likely many more to come.
Am sure someone will furnish names if you really really need them.
In the meantime threads evolve often.

SapphosRock · 25/11/2022 20:29

I thought the thread was about the repercussions of the Brighton event and Posie getting arrested.

If KJK knows the journalist trying to stir up trouble then she can ask her WTF she is playing at.

If KJK doesn't know the journalist trying to stir up trouble it might provide some clues about the malicious hate crime report.

Posie is being rung up by Police, because of malicious accusations like the ones @SapphosRock and her friends have been making. So, if you haven't been paying attention @Shinyredbicycle , I suggest you do.

It's a slippery slope fro vexatious complaints that idiot police officers don't have the sense to dismiss to finding yourself in the dock. Ask Kate Scottow. Ask Harry Miller.

Some of us think these are substantial issues. Feel free to look for something else that takes your fancy in the "substantial issues" in another thread, maybe?

Helleofabore · 25/11/2022 20:34

Why is this important?

Because Sappho does this every thread regarding KJK and Brighton.

When the hypocrisy of the accusations that Sappho makes about KJK are pointed out, a new set of accusations are made.

Some of us are countering this with posting links showing the hypocrisy. And questioning the validity of the source if there is any source at all.

The last thing that should happen is more misinformation being spread about Kellie Jay Keen at this time.

Disagree with her views, but don’t misrepresent them in an attempt to defend a group who is monstering her.
