Which incidentally is all I've ever wanted WPUK to do.
But that core group (those in the three groups) have recently tried to push very hard on defining 'real feminism'. And to make their style of feminism, complete with bullying behaviour, as 'the' true feminists.
I think that old adage is so true.
Once you see it, you cannot unsee it.
And I now see some of the women who had built their brand on being the 'righteous' feminists are feeling very unhappy with women saying that they now identify with other women who are now being forced into the corner and saying, well, actually I am not 'left wing feminist'. Because the more moderate feminists (who are still working on a wide range of issues and are still feminists (although they are saying they are not) who were once the focus because of their own court cases that really set the standard and their own books) are seen as being more aspirational then those declaring themselves as the 'real feminists'.
