Scottish Government don't allow suffragette colours at Stage 2 GRA meeting

The Committee are currently meeting at the Scottish Parliament today to discuss the suggested amendments to the GRA (Stage 2.) A feminist has been told to remove her scarf (knitted in stripes of suffragette colours - no other slogans, badges etc) or leave. She chose to leave. Meanwhile rainbow lanyards are being worn by Committee members who are discussing the amendments.

Well a MP wouldn't be allowed to go to a meeting wearing trans-pride colours either if that's a better analogy.

If you’d been actively following this story instead of popping to personsplain to us why we are wrong, you would have realised that most of us were questioning the double standards being applied.
You can’t allow rainbow lanyards but ban suffragette scarves: it’s neither allowed or both allowed.

Absolutely appalling. Suffragette colours are banned but feel free to drape yourself in rainbow and trans anything 🤦‍♀️

Totally disgusted that amendments have been voted against - women need safe places. I don’t think I will have the stomach to vote for any party now, angry and disappointed.
