Scottish Government don't allow suffragette colours at Stage 2 GRA meeting

The Committee are currently meeting at the Scottish Parliament today to discuss the suggested amendments to the GRA (Stage 2.) A feminist has been told to remove her scarf (knitted in stripes of suffragette colours - no other slogans, badges etc) or leave. She chose to leave. Meanwhile rainbow lanyards are being worn by Committee members who are discussing the amendments.

I wouldn't want to see any of those lanyards or the tie disallowed. Everyone should have an equal right to representation in U.K. parliamentary bodies.

It might be interesting for someone to go in wearing a mix of items, and see if all, none or just the ones symbolising women's right to representation were verboten.

Since they seem to be forbidding women to wear suffrage colours, would it be a bit too subtle if they all turned up wearing this instead?
