Hear, hear Nils. It is more a support for the dismantling of rights; especially pertaining to women and children. Back to Victorian times and beyond.

It's very possible that the staff member felt scared of the ramifications of not doing this. I can just see some horrible TRA going on a Twitter rant, with pictures and videos, naming and shaming the shop and the assistant. Remember, these people are prepared to ruin anyone for their righteous cause.

Jumped up, snotty upstarts with a bit of sinister power, going into shops and demanding that they fly particular flags is reminiscent of every totalitarian regime going. Transactivists might as well end every sentence they utter with the words, 'Or else!'

@andpeggy1 very good to hear this is not a central thing. Gender ideology (the T) is destroying womens safe spaces and our sports. It is mutilating kids and telling them they are in the wrong body.

No woman (that would be the biological females who are Joules main target market) needs Joules, but the company need customers if they are going to keep employing TRAs.

@andpeggy1 lgb and tplus are opposite to each other. You cannot support both at the same time as one is sex based tand the other erases sex. Please tell me how you can support both?

I think it’s a huge misstep by any store staff or social media team to personally take it upon themselves to display something like this without the ok of HQ.
An individual can support what they like but they shouldn’t presume include the company they work for in their beliefs.

And as for ‘I support LGBT’ or ‘it’s a trans flag, what the problem’. Just think about why whose store and others were asked to display it. There is no LGBT event going on in the town. They were asked to put it up purely because there was a feminism conference in the town. It is just to provoke a reaction and nothing else.

I'm afraid the faux innocent 'it's just a flag/it's just a nice gesture of support' card has been overplayed.

There aren't many people left to be conned by it into not seeing the unholy mess underneath. A lot of questions to be asked though about those either too uninformed or willfully avoidant to be able to face the truth and deal with the conflicts and very serious issues involved.

Having a brief break from all the wonderful sessions at Filia and went for a stroll round the city and back up to conference venue via the shopping area and the arcades.
There were more flags on Friday/Saturday morning than there are today. Ones that have gone were in the bigger chain shops.
I’m not sure women ar Filia were out clothes shopping in Cardiff but they will have noted which displayed them.
It does seem true the Queer Emporium handed them out, though not sure on what pretext.
I know nothing about event organising or the economics of a conference coming to town, but Filia women 1,700 ticket holders plus speakers and organisers have eaten out, had the odd drink or two away from the conference venue and all the hotels near by and further out have contingents of women staying in them.
We have kept the hall staff busy too from 8am to late. I expect minus ticket, I will have spent over £300 in Cardiff over the weekend. And it is bloody fabulous.

THIS with bells and whistles on - I go to a shop to shop, I do not go there to be preached at if I want to be preached at I will go to a Church, equally I do not want to be lectured at by shops or businesses - that is NOT their job. Shops and businesses stick to your fucking job an shut the fuck up about everything else.

As you rightly say @senua it sooner or later backfires on them as people start looking very closely at their principles and activities and lo and behold they are never squeaky clean.

Some gender-criticals talk about being "cancelled" a lot, yet also seem to have no problem with bullying others who have a different viewpoint than they do.
