Lesbians not welcome at Gay Pride

This is horrifying. Women (lesbians) told by police they are going to be removed because abuse is being hurled at these women.

Police do nothing about the person shouting the abuse.

why should we care when the end result of pandering to those feelings is the loss of our rights, language, spaces and services?

some of us have had to actively fight off the female socialisation that taught us the feelings of male transitioners were not to be questioned, let alone pushed back against.

it’s been a hard slog to get to the point where i am comfortable calling a male a male without apology, you can’t shame me back into compliance now.

no thank you.

"why should we care"

Message you received. You don't care about trans people. I admire the honesty.

@Hearach15
"Fair enough if you don't care about the feelings of trans people. It's good that you're honest instead of pretending otherwise."

May I gently enquire, at which point and on what basis
@Hearach15 identified and/or established what the feelings of trans people are.
Additionally, what makes Them so uniquely placed
to act as a guardian and protector of those
(supposedly extremely fragile) feelings?

And - in the overall hierarchy of feelings as such -
where would (or even should) we put those unfortunate
ones felt by Lesbians, for instance?
Or simpletons like me?
And - again - on what basis?
Are some feelings more equal than others?
More special?
More (fucking love this term) valid?

I'm ready to be lectured and re-educated here.
Open mind, me.

PostmortemNow · 06/09/2022 15:22

Once you've fucking thrown the whole objective,
observable physical & biological reality out of the window, there's nothing left BUT feelings.
Hurt ones, in particular.
And then the game begins:
my feelings are better than yours.
Next logical step - screams and howls of TRANS
genocide.

Norma27 · 06/09/2022 15:23

@Hearach15 as I said, call me whatever names you want. I don’t care what you think. You have shown you can only use meaningless slurs.
I am very proud that I am teaching my daughters they can say NO to anything and anyone for whatever reason they want to.
I have also ensured they realise not to ‘be kind’ if that means they feel uncomfortable or unsafe.
Throw more of your baseless slurs around. It is so interesting to watch you. You are throwing so much sunlight on what gender ideology is about.
Women are saying NO. We will state the truth, no matter how much that upsets you or any other man.

"You don't care about trans people. I admire the honesty."

Do they care about women?

They're a bunch of fema-phobes!

There has never been such a threat to women's rights, safety, privacy, dignity and language as the trans movement.
You only have to look at any women's rights march or demonstration recently to see EXACTLY what side the hatred is on, what side the threats are on, what side the foul language is on, what side the physical violence is on, what side the intimidation is on.

People too scared and cowardly to even show their faces.

For people who claim to "want" to be women, or identify "as women", they sure hate us a lot.

I care about female transitioners and boys and young men who are experiencing gender-related distress. I care about feminine gay men who are trafficked into prostitution in South American countries. I care about horrid pockets of obvious inequality such as the incredibly high rates of HIV amongst the transitioned male African American population and I would like to see progress so that they have the same life expectancy as others diagnosed with HIV.

but no, I don’t care about the feelings of the adult male transitioners in the UK who seek to remove the rights of women.

I care about some transitioned people but ‘trans people’ is not a group that shares a single immutable characteristic. You say transphobia, I say ‘feminism’.

potato, potahto

And the evidence of reciprocative care to females and especially lesbians is where exactly? 🤔

I can find the 'die in a grease fire'
and 'learn to cope with cock'
and 'reframe your trauma'
and 'punch' and 'dirt nap' and 'kerb stomp' comments with memes of male people in blood stained t shirts grinning with baseball bats
and 'cis scum'
and 'vagina fetishist'

Gosh. Some TQ+ people just don't care about lesbians and females, do they? 😭

What about all the trans women who happily still accept that they are, and always will be, male? Like Blair White and many others? Are they transphobes too?

According to the TRAs they are transphobes and have received a huge amount of abuse for having a differing view.

Wellies54 · 06/09/2022 17:34

Male person who says I am male but I am feminine and wish to reflect that in my appearance: 100% support.
Male person who says I am a woman and demand access to all female safe spaces and am traumatized by a woman speaking about her body and I hate anyone who challenges this. 0% support.
Medical intervention for adults who have had appropriate counselling and spent time weighing up the consequences. Sensible idea.
Medical intervention for vulnerable teenagers who have not had appropriate counselling and have no idea of the consequences: horrific idea.

Helleofabore · 06/09/2022 17:37

Indeed Fripp. If you label something as transphobic or homophobic you, according to at least one witness in Allison Bailey's case, get to lash out like a child with abuse and even worse, very adult threats. All apparently, deserved.

We have seen here how quickly some posters use the term transphobic to simple describe people who disagree with them and point out the deficiencies in their illogical arguments.

Then, what also happens, is they are ejected out of the community. To allow some people to claim that everyone 'agrees' with males being given access to rights and protections meant for females creating conflicts in those rights and protections.

When you see the dishonesty, it just keeps coming.

You only have to look at Jameela Jamil to see how fast the TRA community can turn on someone.

All they have is name-calling, which might have some significance in the playground (and TRAs are mentally/emotionally still there), but grown women are far beyond caring about that. And way above responding in kind.
