A few years ago there was a similar thread here and it got tweeted about in complaint that we were just making fun of people and therefore showing our transphobia.

The fact that actually most adults (above 40) are gender-free was completely lost on them.

Basically if you're middle aged and female, especially if you're a mother, you're not allowed to state a gender identity. It's against the rules. Unless it's "c*sgender".

Which just highlighted to me the pure and innate misogyny of what's going on. It was the first time I saw it so clearly. I do wish I'd screenshot or archived it but it didn't occur to me at the time.
