Interesting that Daniel took Grace's name on marriage. Anyone would thank that was patriarchy in action.

Poor Daniel has a sad back story. Daniel was brave in standing up for safeguarding in her family and church. I'm gutted Daniel is married to Grace, Daniel deserves much much better.

Thank you for link. Obviously identifying as the opposite sex doesn't stop males loving the sound of.their own voice.

Amazing work transcribing signalbox. The hotel was a Best Western I think. I assumed Grace wanted to draw a contrast between the prosaic location and the spiritual nature of her experience.

Sally Hines also rejects the need for sex based rights. It is such a privileged western viewpoint. When FGM no longer exists in the world and when women have exactly the same universal civil rights as men I would be prepared to say the same. Until then I won't.

ScreamingMeMe · 07/04/2022 13:08

There are a couple of women in the twitter replies saying Grace is 'inspirational'. I'd love to know how.

how do they get away with making "meaningful statements" - that are actually nonsensical ?

Its like the kings clothes . They think people will be too embarrased to say - what exactly does that mean?

Not sure which Viper is in charge of double agents, but your team did great work today 🤣🤣

JoodyBlue · 07/04/2022 13:19

I haven't read the whole thread yet, but just listened to the piece. Kicked off twitter for wishing the queen dead while she had covid. Really nasty piece of work. What also struck me was the revelation in the hot tub. No, "I've known ever since I was 3 fabrication there." How anyone remotely intelligent can listen this rubbish with a straight face is beyond me.

JaninaDuszejko · 07/04/2022 13:19

Nolan used the 'let them speak' technique very well in 'Nolan Investigates' as well. It works much better than making people defensive.

@MamaSaidTheredBeDaysLikeThis those pictures are grim and disturbing. Of course, none of us can speak for DL or know their feelings about their relationship. But this does not appear to be a healthy dynamic at all and neither is putting it on social media to be celebrated. Is this what young people are learning 'queer relationships' are all about? (Those aren't intended as scare quotes, I'm just struggling to see beyond GL and DL being a heterosexual couple)

bellinisurge · 07/04/2022 13:24

@JaninaDuszejko is absolutely spot on. Now that people are finally listening. Now that No Debate is over. Let them speak and sound like idiots.

ScreamingMeMe · 07/04/2022 13:25

I'm not sure how thinking wishing death on the Queen is in poor taste means you can't be a radical feminist. But I'm sure it made sense to Grace the women who messaged Grace.

CriticalCondition · 07/04/2022 13:28

Sooo, utter bollocks then.

I think GL was saying it's not just any penis, it's a political penis.

Have I got that right??

A that a bit like a Marks and Spencer’s penis?

Hortensiateapot · 07/04/2022 13:33

Just an aside, listening to the whole hour… the contrast between Grace’s vacuous self indulgence and the two women interviewed either side, (baby loss and prioritising their children post divorce). For me, it just shows up all the pseudo intellectual hot air for what it is. I wonder if the contrast was intentional.

axolotlfloof · 07/04/2022 13:34

Just listening now. GL talks absolute bollocks.
Hopefully anyone who doesn't feel strongly about gender is also horrified about GL wishing a elderly woman with covid dead (The Queen).

M&S adverts will never be the same again now.

Hortensiateapot couldn’t agree more!

PrelateChuckles · 07/04/2022 13:41

Why does Grace say "solidarity with all gender non-conforming butch women forever! "? Grace has says repeatedly Grace is entirely against many of us. Why do they literally lie about what they even believe?
